"OH my God, Oh my God. I can't believe this has happened, our NEW PRESIDENT ELECT is Barack Obama!!!!!! I woke up this morning with an electric energy going through me. I can't explain this feeling, except to say I knew something special was about to happen. I knew history would be made today. I came to this country at the age of seven because my mother knew this was the land of opportunity. I've lived that dream, but to be the mother of three sons, one black (Oliver, 17 years old) and two bi-racial (Jax and Jaid 1 years old) and to say to them that you can be anything you want and to have a face that represents that fact is a blessing. We have so many negative images of blacks in America -- I hope this is a new day. Martin Luther King Jr. would be proud, John F. Kennedy would be proud, and I am truly proud. This a great time in our history, BLACK history. We will now have two little black girls in the White House. LET'S KEEP HOPE ALIVE!!!!!!! On a silly note, I cannot wait to see "The View" tomorrow -- hopefully now Elizabeth Hasselbeck will shut up!"
