A celebrity mompreneur learns valuable lessons from a famous mom.

Growing up with literary lioness Jackie Collins as her mother, you might not be surprised to learn that Tiffany Lerman chose a dirty business to get into herself. No, that's not the kind of dirty we're talking about here. Instead of those sexy and salacious novels of Jackie's we all know and love, Tiffany chose another route. The mother of two is the creator of the Tiny Tillia line of bath products. The line is a favorite of the Jolie-Pitt household -- it seems Maddox, Pax, Shiloh, Zahara and the twins can't seem to get enough of Ben Giraffe, Indy Sheep and the rest of the Tiny Tillia characters.
Tiffany tells momlogic that as a mother of two boys -- Jordan, 9 and Austin, 7 -- she knows the kind of products both moms and kids are clamoring for. "The line is about making every day chores fun," she says. With characters based on her own family, Tiffany has managed to put a little fun and fantasy into those mundane must do's like washing hands and faces. "I used my friends and neighbors to test the products on. My son Jordan was upset because the diaper cream has his name on it. He wanted a more manly product."
Even with her successful line of products (look for an adult line launching soon) and newly launched Tiny Tillia children's invitations on Evite.com, this mompreneur always manages to always put family first. It's just another lesson learned from her own loving childhood.
"People think that we had this Hollywood life and that's not so. You learn by example. My mom took us to school every day, packed our lunch and would write all day until we got home. She would write longhand, no computer or typewriter. She was a good example for me. She proved you can do both. We grew up with the mantra that girls can do anything."
But there was one thing Tiffany couldn't do -- at least until she turned 18. "I was not allowed to read her books till I was 18. I am her number one fan. I was hooked from the first one." And if the boys get an itch to check out some of grandma's best sellers like "Hollywood Wives" or "Lucky", they're out of luck ... at least for a few more years anyway. Tiffany explains, "They will have to wait till they are 18 to read grandma's books. They are fantastic stories. She has these amazing characters."
Well, as they say, like mother like daughter.
