Levi Johnston Dodges the Shotgun Bullet

Guest blogger, Erin: Now that Levi's mother-in-law isn't going to be VP, will he still be forced into marriage?

levi johnston
Levi Johnston is a free man -- well, relatively. He's still the father of 17-year-old Bristol Palin's baby, but since Bristol's mom Sarah didn't snag the vice presidency, whether he goes through with the planned nuptials to his teen bride won't be -- well, as much -- of a national concern.

Free. Free at last.

Thanks to the Republican loss, the young couple and their families can now make decisions based on what's best for their unborn baby and not what will best spin the "family values" propaganda machine that surrounded the campaign.

But Johnston still insists he is in no way being forced to marry Bristol. He told the Associated Press earlier this month he's looking forward to marriage and stressed he and Bristol "both love each other." That may be true. What's also true is that baby is due in December, so they've got only a couple months to tie the knot. Or does his tattooed ring count as a commitment to marriage?

Just because this isn’t the path that most people would pick doesn’t mean it is the wrong path for them.

This article is ridiculous.

Shot guns use shells…not bullets. I agree with Jennifer. The reasons people get married are varied and no ones business. Can’t you find something better to write about?

Come on, he’s a teenager for god’s sake! AND of course they’re being forced into getting married! Let’s just hope that the other two Palin girl’s find out about something called “birth control”. This could be a huge concept in Alaska!!!

This article is plain silly….and I love your comment Tammy! :)

The people at MomLogic need to stop with the whole Palin slamming. The election is over, move on. I’m sure there are more important things to write about that don’t involve bashing teenagers who made a mistake and got pregnant.

MamaJo-I was a teenager when I got married. I was 18, almost 19. I had been best friends with him for 2 years before we started dating, then we were dating for 2 years before we got married. Now we have been married for over 6 years and have a son. No we didn’t get married because we were pregnant; we got married because we loved each other and still do.
Have you ever thought that maybe since they do love each other that they are just trying to do the right thing for their baby?
You need to stop being so judgemental. What if it was one of your kids or grandkids? You wouldn’t want people talking the crap that you just spewed…get over yourself and stop casting stones at others about their decisions.

You don’t know much about their relationship or shotguns.

Uhhmmm… what exactly are they waiting for? Could it be that those Sarah/Bristol/Trig pregnancy triangle rumors were true after all, and Bristol is not pregnant now? Has anyone seen a convincing pregnancy pic of her recently?

so rikki, you were another horny young fool yourself then, so yeah of course you’d have sympathy for her, even though are being forced to be married, you’re full of sh*t just like them
