Did You Like Michelle Obama's Dress?

Wednesday, November 5, 2008
filed under: fashion logic

Though the mom-in-chief has made some excellent fashion choices lately, we weren't digging last night's dress.

As the Obama family took the stage, it was undoubtedly one of most significant moments in our history. Wasn't it cute that the entire family matched? Barack in a red tie, their daughters in black and red dresses and Michelle in her little Narciso Rodriguez number.

Speaking of that dress ... What did you think?

I don’t care for anything the Obamas do. I don’t care for someone who is just now proud to be an american and I do not like the fact that he got elected when he can’t even salute the American Flag. I am disgusted that the american people fell for his hype!!! Oh and No I did not like the dress.

I love you Michelle Obama but your red and black dress did not compliment your beauty. Sorry…

Please Michelle. Call Cindy McCain for some fashion tips. Cindy dresses like a first Lady should, with class.

If you people would stop complaining about her dress, you’d see what a good role model she is for the mother’s of America. She doesn’t have to worry over a dress, she is loved by her husband. The President elect of the United States of American!

The dress is not yet in stores and Mrs. Obama presumably got it directly from the designer; its price is unknown, though Mr. Rodriguez’s typically cost from $1,000 to $8,000. Through a spokesman, Mr. Rodriguez declined to comment. http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/11/05/that-dress-everyone-has-an-opinion/ That dress did MO no justice at all. Not that she’s any beauty queen or anything. Far from it; in my opinion, but hey, some folks may find gargantuan appealing. lol I think MO looked like a pregnant black widow spider in that dress. Notice the sideways hour glass? hahahaha

i didn’t expect her to look any better, i mean, after all….she is just plain old ugly, no matter what she wears. ‘you can put a designer dress on a ugly woman, but you still got a ugly woman’ lolz

Everyone is entitle a mistake once in awhile, that dress did not benefit her. She’s a beautiful lady and a smart one also, and I am sure she will learn from this mistake.

she is an embarrasment to America with the way she stands wide-legged like a cow. get her some one to teach her how to stand like a lady. sheeesh! I sooooo look forward to 2012 when these people go back to their sleazy lawyer friends and neighborhood full of crooks, terrorists, and bombers.

poor thing, I hope she uses some of her distribution of wealth to get some fashion tips, maybe a little surgery too? like a complete face transplant, since our new free insurance health care package will pay for everything..she really needs it, i would consider her appearance to qualify her for some sort of disability benefits, quite the eye-sore she is.

Each to their own on dress code. Michelle Obama always looks fabulous it’s how she carries herself

I voted for the Obamas because of their character, not their fashion sense! I personally would not have chosen that dress for that particular night, but I think it fits her personality well. She is very confident in who she is and doesn’t want to live up to previous first ladies. She is Michelle Obama, and she is quite o.k with that.

The important thing is did Michelle like the dress? I loved the dress. I think she always looks good. I thougt everyone looked great. What I am happy about is the victory and I am thrilled for my fellow south-side girl to be The First Lady.

I actually loved Mrs. Obama’s dress. I am a stylist and dress many public figures regularly. I know a great dress when I see one. The designer took a bold step that was reflective of the bold woman that would wear it. And wear it she did…and quite well at that. I also loved the color coordination of the family’s ensembles. Well done!

She always dresses classy. There was a comment about wondering how much it cost? Nothing she will ever wear will cost what McCain’s wife wore and also I’m sure she doesn’t want to look like her. She has her own still and her own class. Stop hating on this black woman.

Mitch who posted on Posted 11/08/08 10:06 PM… your arrogance and people who think like you are the true embarrassment of America. Leave the ignorance behind already. Change starts with education, get one huh. Anyway I hated the dress but love the Obama’s !
