Dutch police are investigating new evidence in the 2005 disappearance of American teenager Natalee Holloway.
The Prosecutors' Office said that a woman told authorities that Joran Van der Sloot had previously confessed to her that he was directly involved in Holloway's disappearance.
Chief Prosecuter Hans Mos says that convicting Van der Sloot will be no easy task. "After three years of investigating, it is very, very difficult to find that evidence," Mos said. "We have to be realistic."
Investigators reopened the case this year after similar admissions where caught on hidden-camera recordings by a Dutch TV crime show.
The Alabama teen was last seen in May 2005 leaving an Aruban bar with Van der Sloot, who has been arrested and released twice for lack of evidence.

I don’t know all the particulars in this case, but it’s another case of no body, no trial - similar to Casey Anthony. Only unlike Van Der Sloot, she is keeping her mouth shut.

I dont think i could be as strong as this girls mom. I would have to do the eye for an eye thing. If she was sold then mabey one day she will be found. If they did kill her and cover it up with the help of his dad an all we may never have a chance, but i believe strongly in karma and it will come back!! Natalie and her family are in my thoughts and prayers

I am so sorry for Natalee’s Mom. I myself have a daughter she is still a baby but my world would just fall apart if something happened to her. I saw the T.V. movie on Lifetime and I think it is so WRONG that the police there where trying to cover up for that Van Der Sloot man. If they had been trying to halp Natalee’s parents they might have been able to find her body and bring her back home and give a funeral. My heart goes out to the family.
