The incoming First Couple told Barbara Walters that Sasha and Malia still need to do their chores around the house...the WHITE HOUSE, and that means cleaning their rooms and making their beds each morning.

The girls will have a busy schedule with their homework and after-school activities. Malia told her father she will write her school papers at the desk in the Lincoln bedroom because she thinks it will "inspire big thoughts". The desk is where Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation, which freed the slaves.
