Plastic Surgery Addict Injects Cooking Oil into Face

A Korean woman obsessed with cosmetic surgery injected cooking oil into her face.

Hang Mioku, 48, has been compulsively getting plastic surgery on her face for the last 20 years, leaving her unrecognizable.

Her face became so large compared to her small body that children in her neighborhood called her "standing fan."

Mioku found a doctor who was still willing to give silicone injections, even giving her a syringe and silicone of her own so that she could conduct the procedure herself. When she ran out of silicone, she resorted to using cooking oil.

She became known after she was featured on Korean TV. Viewers who saw the report sent donations toward a surgery to reduce the size of her face.

Surgeons have been able to remove 60g of foreign substance from her face and 200g from her neck. After several medical sessions, her face has been greatly reduced but has been left scarred and disfigured.
