Sarah Palin Cooks It Up on "Today"

Will she run again in 2012? What do her kids think? And what's up with that $150,000 wardrobe? Check out the video.
Just six days after Sarah Palin and John McCain's campaign for the White House ended in defeat, Palin spoke with Matt Lauer while she was preparing a dinner of halibut-and-salmon casserole for her family in the kitchen of her home in Wasilla. Here's what Sarah Palin's daughter Piper had to say about the campaign:
Here are some other highlights:
Will Sarah Palin run for president in 2012?
"If I can be part of a solution to help this nation ... certainly I want to be a part of a solution in those terms," she said. "But in the meantime, [I'm] going to be making sure that Alaska develops our resources so we can contribute more to the U.S. and allow our nation to be energy independent and secure and prosperous. I can do that as the governor of Alaska."
What about that $150,000 wardrobe?
Among the reports that Palin said were false were those involving her wardrobe, which was reported to cost the Republican campaign $150,000. She said no lawyers have been sent to retrieve the clothes, which she said she never asked for. A third of the garments were returned as not suitable to wear, she said; another third remained in the belly of her campaign plane, while the rest have been returned. Palin said she was happy to be wearing her own clothes again.
"We don't have any of the campaign's clothes in our possession," she told Lauer. "It was never anybody's intention to keep those borrowed clothes from the RNC."
"I did not order up these clothes," the governor told Lauer, saying the people who decided what she should wear were "the New York stylists who were already there, and already orchestrating what the wardrobe should look like, just like they have people to figure out the staging and the lighting and everything else."
Those heels...
And, as a sidenote, what was up with Piper's shoes?
We've never seen such high heels on a 7-year-old before! Scandalous!
What did you think of the Palin interview?
After the Palin family returned to Wasilla and the RNC said an atty was coming to audit/collect the clothing, Palin’s father, Mr. Chuck Heath, said “She was just frantically … trying to sort stuff out,” he told The Associated Press Monday. “That’s the problem, you know, the kids lose underwear, and everything has to be accounted for.” This is either a misquote, total BS, or the whole family is stupid. Sorting out clothes after being on the road is not a big deal - they should know what they had before and I’m sure any designer silk boxers (if any) would stand out from cotton Fruit of the Looms, Hanes, etc. Receipts will show exactly what was purchased. Family clothes can’t be bought with RNC funds, so the Palin’s owe for those (though maybe there’s a charitable cause that wants used kids designer skivvies). And Jeff Larson, the GOP contributor aka “Mr. Robocall” (who paid for the original spree) was fuming when he saw the bill, and got reimbursed, but we haven’t heard from him since. Interesting that only now (after the election) it comes out that anonymous “New York stylists” picked out the clothes. There is so much contradiction and it would be a stupid point if it didn’t point to a massively disorganized, finger-pointing, shell-game of responsibility and the same mess has applied to missing billions of reconstruction funds in Iraq. If someone has so much trouble keeping family matters, straight I hope she stays in Alaska and doesn’t mess with the Real America (no offense to the beautiful state of AK, but there are issues in the lower 48 that don’t - or didn’t - apply up there).
You did a great job, Sarah! Keep up the good work! See you in 2012! Tell Piper her high heels (or clack-clacks as my 2 granddaughters call them) look great on her. Hope to see you in 2012, if the Lord is willing. If God is for you, who can be against you?
God bless your entire family, and my prayers are with you and your son in Iraq.
In Christ,
Rita
I just read this morning that all the slandering stories about Palin that came out after the election, were BS!!! Totally made up, and the mainstream media never took the time to verify the “source”. (the wardrobe, the answering the door in a towel, the not knowing Africa thing)
Sounds like typical Rove move if ever. (and yeah, so what he’s a repub…I still say t doesn’t mean a damn thing. o much of Barry’s campaign move’s were typical of Rove’esq workings, from day one with Hillary)
Peter, you’re a spiteful louse. People like you are the reason that the American people have a hard time telling fact from fiction in the news. Let’s see you run in 2012. Ha! What a joke!

Wow. Same old hate Palin gossip.
Why is it always that dems can talk so negative about any republican but we are expected to kiss the feet of the ones who want power of what they feel is right for the country rather than what nis right GOD BLESS Sarah palin for the strength she has shown and to the insecure A@#holes(men & women) take your opinions and stickem in the gap between your legs.Democrats give a damn about no one but themselves and serving the weak and feeding off the lazy and worthless, ENJOY LIFE YOU FREELOADERS!!!

Aside from everything else, unless Piper is playing “dress-up”, those shoes are completely innappropriate for a seven year old. Ms Palin may not realize that in letting her daughter wear something that also serves as a sex accessory (those were way higher heels than I’ve ever worn!), she’s sexualizing her seven year old daughter. Hmm. Obvlivious much?
Give me a break. You cant be serious that you believe that Sarah Palin encourages her daughter to wear sex accessories. WOW lady. I guess this means when my cleaning lady who brings her grandaughter with her when she cleans is encouraging her to wear my sex accessories. The child loves to clunk around in the shoes….its fun nothing more. It is those like you that cant get out of the gutter. Shame on you. GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!!
Good site. Nice and fun reading. I just have a single point to give about funny shirts.

Regarding the supposed $150k in clothes, Sarah Palin said on the Today Show that: “We don’t have any of the campaign’s clothes in our possession.” and then she said “Over the past couple days,” she added, “we put it all in boxes, put it in the FedEx plane and sent it back to the headquarters.” Obviously contradictory and now clear Sarah Palin has been lying and all those McCain staffers were truthful. Please enough about Sarah Palin . . she should disappear from public spotlight in the lower U.S. We had enough!
