See the Werewolf Syndrome Boy

A cure might be in sight for a boy suffering from a "hairy" genetic disorder.
There was a time where a boy suffering from what's commonly known as "werewolf syndrome" -- which causes hair to grow over almost every inch of the body -- might have been relegated to the very un P.C. "freak show" circuit. But today, Pruthviraj Patil, 11, lives with the genetic condition, called hypertrichosis, while attending school in his native India and playing cricket. Reports say he is a relatively happy boy, although, understandably he says, "My greatest desire is that the hair should go."
His dream might be coming true. Scientists at Columbia University are confident they've figured out how to treat the rare malady which only afflicts about 50 people in the entire world by using injections of testosterone to stem the growth of hair. Their research was filmed as part of a documentary called 'My Shocking Story: Real Wolf Kids.'
