We Breathed the Same Air as the Jonas Bros.!

Monday, November 17, 2008

Two teens got to see the Jonas Brothers up close and personal, thanks to American Eagle and 77kids.com. Here, they give us a sneak peek into the best night of their lives.

Guest Bloggers Chloe & Megan: When we got the invitation to see the Jonas Brothers play in front of an exclusive crowd of 200, we thought we were dreaming. Our mother was just as excited as we were, and it felt like the concert would never get here. But, after excitedly and impatiently counting down the days, the night finally arrived.

As we stepped out of our Prius with Mom in tow, we were instantly star struck by the parade of B-list celebs. Daren Kagasoff ("Secret Life of the American Teenager") looked right at us -- and we giggled excitedly. Brenda Song and Daniel Panabaker (Disney Channel) passed by as we were handed our safety green wristbands. A storm of flashes and screams deafened us. We glanced up and saw a large black SUV. Murmurs of "who is it?" and "the Jonas Brothers!" filled the air. We hugged each other and jumped up and down. WHEEEEEE!

As we entered the Roxy, everyone was envy-staring at our adorable outfits -- or so we imagined. We went to find a good spot up front and we were immediately bothered by some grannies and their grandbabies that surrounded every edge of the stage. Even more annoyingly, they were all about taking pictures of the celeb moms in the crowd (Lisa Rinna, Patricia Heaton, Brooke Burke, and Kris Jenner) with their unnaturally bright flashes while they smacked their gum. We made many new friends gossiping about how annoying they were. UGH! But there was no way we were going to let them ruin this night.

After we'd been waiting for about half an hour, everyone went silent as the curtains parted. There were the Jonas Brothers -- within reach! Only an arm's length away -- looking god-like in their ah-dorable outfits and super cute hair. Every female in the room was yelling "I LOVE YOU!" to at least one of the guys. They started off with a few songs that everyone knew all the words to. Love that!

Just when we thought the concert couldn't get any better, Joe locked eyes with each of us while we screamed the lines of the song "When You Look Me in the Eyes." We collapsed into each other's arms as soon as he looked away. During "BB Good," Nick like totally looked our way. Swoon.

The rest of the concert flew by, and before we knew it, Mom was stuffing a bag with candy from the complimentary candy bar. How embarrassing is that?! "It's for your lunches!" she said. Whatever, Mom, Nick could be watching! As we left, the paparazzi swarmed as we hopped into our car. All the way home we poured over the pictures we took on our cellphones and called our best friends. It was the best night of our short existences. Thank you 77kids.com and American Eagle for making it happen. We will never forget it!
