Momlogic's 101 on the wife of alleged cheater celeb chef Gordon Ramsay ...

British tabloids are reporting that celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has been having an on-again/off-again affair with famous other woman Sarah Symonds. Immediately, our hearts went out to Gordon's wife of twelve years, Tana Ramsay, and we wanted to know more about her. Here's what we've found so far:

Her maiden name is Cayetana Elizabeth Hutcheson.

The Montessori-trained teacher married Gordon Ramsay in 1996.

The couple has four children: Megan, 10; twins Jack and Holly, 8; and Matilda, 7.

Tana's father Chris Hutcheson runs the business operations of Ramsay's restaurant empire.

Tana Ramsay said having to use IVF to have children made her feel like a failure. "I suffer from polycystic ovaries and Gordon has a low sperm count, which is probably down due to the kitchen -- the hours, the stress, the heat ... so we had IVF, which made me feel like a complete failure."

Gordon Ramsay once said that women who work are always taking time off for "morning sickness and women's troubles." He famously admitted to never changing his children's diapers or being present at any of their births. When asked about women who prefer a more hands-on husband, Tana replied: "I think, what's the big deal? It works for them and I'm not criticizing it. But it's not what I want. It's not my style."

Gordon and Tana's courtship started while she was living with another man. One night when her then-boyfriend was out of town, Gordon jumped at the opportunity and they talked all night long.

When Tana was asked what she would change about her relationship with Gordon, she said: "It would probably be for us to have more time together. However, at this point in our lives, we're young and we're busy, so it's all very well to say we need more time... but then, there's plenty of time for that later."

Tana Ramsay is a cook in her own right. She has put out four cookbooks, mostly focusing on the family and down-home themes.

My God, Tana, if your husband won’t go to the hospital with you when you have a baby then when will he ever be “there” for you in life ? Women still die sometimes from pregnancy and childbirth as well you know ? Unexpected complications too, yeah ? And at best, anyone who’s had a baby needs help,concern and support. It’s not like you just went to a salon to get your hair done,you know ? I felt sorry for you at first when I heard the rumors that Gordon cheats, but now I understand that you are ok with being a total doormat… My husband not only was there for the births of our 2 kids, he also slept overnight in the chair beside my hospital bed, in fact that was his idea. Now that’s a man. A guy who leaves you alone in childbirth and cheats is a loser.

Hey Mrs Ramsay, Don’t listen to the jelous words of woman who don’t understand your situation. I love your husbands style and you must love a lot about him or you would not be with him. I was also born Nov 8 (1960), so I understand his Scorpio temper and personality. I have 3 kids— Shea, Robin and Chelsea and had them alone too— I lived and my kids are good. Gordon seems to be a cool guy and I have seen a heart on many occasions. Hold your head up high and be proud. I hope you all do well— Hugs from Colorado— Julia

Sorry to be privete.. but i was wondering about IVF. So it’s not Gordon’s sperm? Is IVF like a bank, were you get sperm from someone else that donated? Take care! Hugs n kisses, Jojo
