Why Vote? For the Loot!

Coffee, donuts, pizza and vibrators (what?!) ... America is the land of the free crap if you cast your ballot today. But are junk food and sex toys added incentive or just a sign of a sorry nation having to bribe citizens with guilty pleasures to get involved?

Starbucks says belly up to the coffee bar election day for a tall cup of joe. Just say you voted and it's free.

Ben & Jerry's: one free scoop of ice cream to customers from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Krispy Kreme: The doughnut chain is giving a free "star-shaped" doughnut to voters.

Pizza Hut: PH is gearing up for election day by giving a 20% discount to all online orders scheduled for delivery or pick-up on election day. (New online customers only.)

Wilco is offering a free download of their song "I Shall Be Released."

And if the satisfaction of making a difference isn't enough for you, perhaps Babeland's free sex toy giveaway will motivate you.

Do you know of any vendors giving away free stuff in your area? Go to the momlogic community and tell us about it!

Chick-fil-a is also giving away 3 strips of chicken to each guest wearing their “I Voted” sticker today.

Hell yeah!! I am going to score some of this free loot for sure!

So sure, a cup of coffee or a doughtnut is nice. But let’s talk about a significant offer. Cosmetic dermatologist Dr. Mitch Goldman of La Jolla Spa MD in La Jolla, California is offering 20% off any procedure or treatment through the rest of the week for voting. Now, to be perfectly legal under California state law, it’s on the honor system and anyone can make the request during Election Week. This takes the free coffee and treats offer to a whole new level. This could easily be worth several hundred bucks – we’re talking Botox, laser treatments, you name it. Dr. G. says he’s doing his part to support democracy and beautify America. Get out the vote, get out the wrinkles? I vote for that!

That’s just weird, Gayle.

This is an illegal practice - you are not allowed to give gifts for voting. In fact, Starbucks has been ordered that they have to give coffee to anyone that asks for it, and I’m sure the others will be close behind.

Having said that, GET OUT AND VOTE, people! Do it for democracy, not for an ice cream cone.

Jennifer, people are not just voting to get a freakin’ ice cream or free crap. Ummm remember you cant just vote today if you arent registered. Which registration deadlines were a few weeks ago. No one knew that many companies were going to give free stuff. It is an added bonus.

Following my monitoring, billions of people in the world receive the loan at well known creditors. Thus, there’s great possibilities to receive a student loan in all countries.
