Take our first-ever Women and Money Survey.
I am truly shocked that there are women out there who have no financial input in their marriages. Please set yourselves free - it’s not hard to find easy to read money books written specifically for you.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to balance your check book, open a retirement account or fund a 529 for your child. A few years ago my friend sent me Suze Orman’s “Women & Money”, but there are plenty other books out there.
(Maybe financially savvy readers can recommend others.)
What would happen if your spouse were to die tomorrow? Could you alone support your family? Why risk it all when you can start preparing yourself today…
my husband is not so great with money. i’m the one that takes care of the finances in our household. i could not imagine just handing it over to my husband and not knowing what we have or how it’s being spent-that seems like such an outdated concept for me.
OK momlogic, are we back in the 1950’s or something? Please, I manage everything in my house.
We only spend what we have. We stopped using credit cards 15 years ago and never looked back. We pay cash for items that we budget and/or save up for.
