Scott Ruffalo, a hair stylist, was shot in the head in Beverly Hills, CA earlier this week.

Entertainment Tonight is reporting that the actor's brother is clinging to his life. They are also reporting that there is an investigation going on into the shooting.

Mark Ruffalo starred in "13 Going On 30" and "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" among other films. In an ironic twist, Ruffalo himself was diagnosed with an acoustic neuroma, a type of brain tumor in 2002. After undergoing surgery, he faced a period of partial facial paralysis. He has since fully recovered -- the tumor was benign -- and continues to lead an active life and career.
