Followers of the high profile Casey Anthony case have their own ideas about what happened to three-year-old Caylee.

Caylee and Casey Anthony were high up on the recently released list of Yahoo! 2008 most searched terms, coming in at number two. A search for Casey Anthony on Google garners a staggering seven million results -- it's no wonder interest in the high profile case continues to grow. Since a recent motion for a gag order was denied, those who can't turn away from the mystery of the whereabouts of Caylee Anthony continue to dig into the tragic story as if they were actually assigned to the case. Up to now, the most widely held hypothesis of what happened to Caylee is her mother, wanting to live the "party" life, attempted to sedate her child with a lethal dose of chloroform and hid the body in her the trunk of her car. She eventually disposed of the body in a yet to be revealed location.

Despite the mounds of circumstantial and forensic evidence that seem to point to this conclusion, there are still those with their own idea of what happened to Caylee. Check out some of their theories:

Casey is hiding Caylee from Cindy Anthony
Casey's mom Cindy allegedly told family members that she was considering filing for full custody of Caylee because Casey was an "unfit mother." Some believe this is the reason Casey made Caylee "disappear." Court documents released earlier this year said Casey wanted to give the Caylee up for adoption before she was born but Cindy Anthony wouldn't let her. And according to Casey's brother Lee, there was already bad blood between Casey and her mother because, in the delivery room, grandmother Cindy was handed newborn Caylee BEFORE Casey.

Caylee was left in a hot car
Both Cindy and Casey are responsible for Caylee's death. The mom and daughter went out shopping one day for groceries and left Casey accidentally inside the car. When they got back to the car, Caylee was dead. Later they both put the toddler in the trunk of the car and together disposed of the body.

Caylee was kidnapped by drug dealers
Since no one has come forward to identify the Caylee "sighting" at a Florida mall, many think the little girl was indeed kidnapped. Some who have viewed the images believe Caylee is being held captive or was killed by drug dealers in retaliation for a situation involving Casey's drug habit.

Casey's brother Lee is Caylee's dad
No one seems to know who Caylee's father is -- although at one point Casey falsely told investigators he was killed in a car accident. Some people believe Casey's brother Lee is the actual father of Caylee. A police interview of Casey's former fiancée Jesse Grund revealed that Casey had once told him Lee made inappropriate sexual advances toward her. This alleged incest accusation could have resulted in a child. Many feel Casey's relationship with her brother is "creepy," referencing the way she refers to him as "sweetheart" as evidence of its inappropriate nature. Although this theory doesn't explain how Caylee met her fate -- some feel it explains the dysfunction of the Anthony family.

Casey planned to kill her entire family
According to reports, Casey told a friend her parents were getting a divorce and giving her the house. Casey had claimed she was planning on moving in the Anthony house the weekend Caylee disappeared. Was Casey was planning on chloroforming George, Cindy and Caylee
as they slept and bury their bodies in the back yard? A few people think this might've been the case. The theory is the plan went sour when Cindy and Casey got into a physical fight over a financial matter and Casey killed Caylee to get even.

continued… OK, here is whats strange…Casey claims she handed Caylee to Zenaida on June 9th..(keep in mind, Cindy originally said she last saw Caylee on the 8th..until the video dicovery, and then changed her tune) Harry Garcia (Leasing Consultant at Sawgrass Apartments) filled out a guest card for Zenaida Gonzalez when she came in to inquire about renting an apartment. Zenaida was shown an apartment in Bldg 2859 S. Conway RD – Apt 210. This apt has been vacant for 142 days since February 29, 2008. This happened on the 16th of June?? (The same day Caylee was killed) Perhaps somebody got the license plate number off Zenaida’s car, had it ran and came up with the name to fit the “nanny” role? This was a whole 8 days AFTER Casey claims she handed her over on the 8th of June. How do we know for sure (other then George’s word) that Casey was in that house that morning? Mayby she left the house after her and Cindy had that fight, and left CayLee with them. Cindy could have forgot to take the ladder out of the pool after she and Caylee went swimmimg earlier that night. What if George was sleeping in the morning, and Caylee got out of bed and quietly got the door open and drowned in the pool, after Cindy left to go to work? Remember, Cindy was the one who discovers the pool ladder and gate opened, when she arrives home the same day. Dimwit Casey comes home, finds Caylee floating or at the bottom of the pool (thus the flurry of phone calls) she panics, and trys to hide the body, thinking she’ll get blamed. Now, the cover up begins, and a search for a name to fit the “nanny” she created along, to protect her from her mothers questions all the time. What if Caylee NEVER was missing for 31 days…but that they created that whole senario for the benefit of the public and fear of being indited in her death? Suppose Casey went along with the story, believing that when the “truth” came out, she’d be cleared? Remember what she said to Cindy about those cameo’s Cindy did? And she said “What do you mean you don’t know what MY involvement is in this? (as if to infer Cindy did have a part in all tis too?) It would explain somewhat of

CONTINUE…It would explain somewhat of why Casey was on outward appearance partying all this time, and showing no emotion over Caylee’s disappearance, if in fact caylee never realy was missing. Perhaps she was somewhere with one of Cindys friends, if she wasn’t around for awhile. George said once, We are being watched, and we know who it is, but can’t say. Perhaps they asked her to go along with this, to keep us all confused? I think too, the car was left at Amscot with the purse, thinking someone would steal the car and dump it, thus the odor would be disapated by the time it was found, and the “nany” story would appear real. Please leave comments! This is the most twisted family I have ever seen in my life! Sorry for the long post!

I, too, have been bugged by the original June 9 date thing. It’s not likely that they would’ve all miscounted when they last saw Caylee. I wondered if the video actually said June 16, or if this was assumed because it was supposedly a “Father’s Day” visit to see Cindy’s father in the nursing home. If so, it would not be that unusual to not “spoil” the actual Father’s Day (for George) by, instead, visiting Grandpa and celebrating the week before, since he probably wouldn’t know the difference. If this is the case then what puzzles me is why they all found it more useful to lie. I have never trusted Cindy, which was confirmed once she admitted lying about the hairbrush, etc. Also, George’s “cooking show” time reference seemed just too contrived, as though from a seasoned policeman. It has always seemed to me that Casey had some help. If not a family member, does anyone think she was helped by one or more of her loser druggie friends? If so, is she trying protecting them now?

OK. Anyone ever see the movie “Usual Suspects” where Kevin Spacey makes up a story by using information he sees on the bulletin board at the police station. Tis is exactly what Casey is doing. I think she changed her story and used the name Blanchard Park after that college student’s body was found there on June 11th. Once she found out Zani and Saw Grass apt story wasn’t going to work, she changed the location because she probably jsut heard the name on the news.

After the argument on fathers day Casey called tony and asked if she could come to his house and she went. He told her she could not bring caylee so she chloroformed her and left her in the trunk. When she got back to the car in the morning she found that she was overdosed and barely breathing. she could not bring her to a hospital or they would put her in jail so she taped her mouth securely and left her to die. That is what I believe happened. It started out as an accident and ended up being intentional.

I personally think that Caylee was given an accidental, lethal overdose of Xanax, and Casey attempted to hide the evidence. Does anyone know if the toxicology report on Caylee’s hair tested positive for this drug? I follow Nancy Grace regularly, but little has been mentioned about “Xany the nanny”. How far has this theory been looked into??? It seems as though everyone assumes “Xany” is the person…and not the drug.

I agree Caylee was given an O.D. by accident…and then covered it up. Casey wanted to party…she used the drug as a babysitter along with the trunk. Once she discovered what she had done, she knew Cindy would never forgive her, plus the fact she would be thrown in jail, where she could no longer party. She drove around with the childs body in that trunk, looking for a safe place to dump it…but she didn’t feel safe enough anywhere, so she left the car with the body to be stolen, only it wasn’t, so when the car was back in the garage, she thought she could make it look like a drowning, so..took the ladder, put her in the pool, and decided, that wouldn’t work, so she decided to bury her for the time being, borrowed a shovel from the neighbor, buried her under the playhouse in the yard. Waited for the right time, moved her back into the car, till she could burn the body after she had packed it in garbage bags, laundry bags,,after having a little service for her with her heart sticker, got distracted and tee`d off when her father asked for her gas cans, which she planned on using to burn the body…she sure couldn’t let George find the body in the trunk, that would blow the whole kidnap story out the window…,she was then was in a panic… drove to the nearest wooded area, and threw her little girl away like garbage. I don’t see how it could have gone down any other way, all the public “evidence” points to it happening this way… Sherlock homes would say… Look at the probable, see if its possible..and there you have your outcome.

I think Caylee was murdered in her bedroom,probably neck broken,left on top of the soil in the backyard where the decomp began rapidly.Casey already had Caylee triple bagged and when the decomp became worse,threw her away by the road side where elements and animals took over,thus the scattered bones.

This case is not that difficult to understand, although it can be overwhelming. Casey Anthony was going out and sleeping with anything that told her what she wanted to hear. She used the child as an excuse to ditch the many men that she did not want to sleep with at that time. When Casey would go out, she would give the child Xanax, she probably stole it from her Mother or her Mothers place of employment. This would put the child to sleep for a while and her Parents would not disturb her that the child was awake and that she had to come home. Mom and Daughter get into many of fights and Casey no longer has access to Xanax. Therefore, she starts using Chloroform to put the child to sleep. Casey had a hard time coming up with money; since she was not employed and she normally stole her income, so she couldn’t buy it off the streets. So, she starts using a home ingredient of Chloroform. Then she meets Tony. He is everything she has been looking for. She wants no responsibilities what so ever. The child is interfering with her relationship with Tony. An intense argument breaks out between Mom and Casey. Casey has no choice, but to bring the child with her. Angry that the child has to come with, because Mom refuses to Babysit and Casey may loose the love of her life, she gives the child too much Chloroform. Casey does not want to be disturbed at all so she gives the child a heavy dose. Puts the child in the trunk of her car, where she thinks she will sleep peacefully. (God Bless You Caylee Anthony). The next morning Casey realizes that the most excruciating mistake she has ever made in her pathetic life. The child has passed and she is just thinking about Tony, the love of her life. Therefore, she hides the Child for a while and continues her rendezvous with the love of her life. She can only keep her Mother away for so long and she makes up whatever, so that she may continue with her beautiful life. Time runs out, the Mother catches on, Casey is sooooo arrested for the Murder of her child, and Tony, the love of her life thinks she is Psycho. Casey never asked her parents if the child was ever found

Continued….or recovered when she called the first time she was arrested. Casey wants only Tony’s number, nothing else. Again, Tony wants absolutely nothing to do with her. Casey, in her sick twisted world, tells herself that she has sacrificed so much for Tony. Casey realizes Tony wants nothing to do with her, so she puts the blame on him and that is where the defense is coming up with this stupid story about Casey not being able to bury the child’s remains and requesting his cell phone records. They may find that he was probably at the site where to child was buried, only because Casey invited him there when she was released one of the times. I truly hope she is given the death penalty for what she has done to that beautiful innocent child.
