Caylee Anthony: Did Search Teams Fail?

Friday, December 12, 2008

How is it possible, with all the searches for little Caylee, she may have been found so close to home?

caylee-found-equ.jpg

The remains of a young child have been located in east Orange County, Florida less than a half-mile from Casey Anthony's parents' home, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office. A positive identification has yet to be made, but officials say they will know if the remains are Caylee Marie soon.

If it is Caylee Marie's body how could the remains of a little girl be found in such close proximity to the Anthonys' home? Mindy Albritton, a representative from Equusearch -- the company that launched two exhaustive searches for the missing toddler -- told momlogic that at the initial search back in June, the area where the body was found was submerged in water. "I believe that it was where our ATVs got stuck in the mud and we couldn't get through."

In their second search, says Albritton, which covered a 25-mile radius around the Anthonys' Orlando house, the area in question was fenced off for new construction of homes. "It was by then private property, and if it's fenced off or the owner posted "No Trespassing" -- unless we can get the property owner to give permission -- we can't enter the area."

The news, if it's true, will no doubt have a profound affect on Casey Anthony. Allen Moore, Public Information Officer from Orange County Jail, says Casey knows about today's developments and has been seen by the jail psychologist -- but is not on suicide watch. She also has had one visitor today: her defense attorney Jose Baez.

Does it look like she threw the remains in the retention pond, and after all these months, with hurricanes and flooding, it floated up and out and into the weeded area? I guess we haven’t heard yet what was in the bag—just the skull, or all? I think I did read there was no clothing. Remember Casey was supposed to have commented, “They haven’t even found her clothes yet?”

Duct Tape smells like pre-mediatated murder to me. Bring back the death penalty. Cindy & George stop the lies, support your daughter by visiting her, like every other family of a prisoner. Dysfunctional Family,,,,

Double jeopardy only applies if a trial has taken place. They can put it back on table and I believe they have already said they might. I wish this country would wake up, moms are killing their babies for crying out loud. It is happening more and more. We can not pretend it isn’t out there and doesn’t happen. Moms, if you are young, or old, it is ok to tell your family your tired, need a break, or just can’t figure out how you are gonna make it through another day.. Talk to someone, we are out here, we have been tired of the long nights, limited adult time, we understand and will listen. Casey put out signs while she was preg. Her mother refused to see it. She didn’t want to do this alone. She blamed a guy that was close, who would be a good dad, and that didn’t work. She tried adoption. Her mom refused to let her go through with it. She didn’t want this from the beginning. Poor Caylee is a staatist that will be forgotten in 5 years. Do any of you know Susan Smith? That was 13 years ago. Remember her boys names? Stop focusing on one child whose life was devastately cut short, and focus on the problem.

OK…they are saying the area in question was fenced off for new construction of homes. “It was by then private property, and if it’s fenced off or the owner posted “No Trespassing” — unless we can get the property owner to give permission — we can’t enter the area.” WELL…how hard is it to get permission? I call this a very bad move and statement…it is not a reason, but, a very POOR excuse for the system!

Right on Wishfulone….Why do we as a society turn our heads when those in need cry out for help and when it is too late find it easy to say well she/he/they did mention they were beyond hope in coping with responsibilities heck- even those mothers and fathers who are financially secure, have a happy homelife, a good job and beautiful friends and family find themselves pinned up against the wall with no way out…do they all make it? If we really care about our children we would put more time, money, compassion into the system and not just give handouts, but, hold a hand that needs some TLC cuz this world is a very harsh place at times…”All we need is Love” - “And in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make” PEACE!!!

caycee wanted to party, caylee needed a mommy. caycee cooks up a nice little batch of chloroform for her sweet daughter. because after all, it is much easier to party if baby is asleep in the back of the car! tipsee caycee makes an excuse to slip away from the party, to check on her baby to make sure she is asleep and not yelling for gramma. oops she might wake up! caycee, not ready to leave the party, gives her just a tipsy bit more of chloroform. in the morning mom caycee finds she has a hangover, a new sex partner, and HOW inconvenient, a dead daughter.

The searchers put their hearts and souls into searching for that little angel, Caylee. For several months, 1000’s of people searched for her. They did not find her, not because they didn’t want to but because they just didn’t. She’s been found now, it really does not matter how. She did not deserve any of this and can now have a proper burial. I cannot believe that anyone would even hint that the search teams were neglectful. The only one responsible for any of this nightmare is Casey Anthony. May she get her due punishment!

Casey Anthony has changed her story so many times it was so obvious she was guilty. As a mother of 3 i cant imagine one of my children missing and not spending every waking minute looking for them..I think her mother is covering for her and i think we will see her get charged somewhere down the road.As for where she was found equisearch tried to search there it was underwater the first time and taped off the second time…They interviewed a friend of caseys earier from school who said they used to hang out in those woods.i think she is sleeping with her attorney too.I truly feel she needs the death penalty …Life shouldnt be good enough for her

So I guess this means that the meter reader gets the reward $ ? I too would love to be a fly on the wall to listen to the conversations now between George, Cindy, and whereever Lee is. I also imagine that Cindy’s brothers are pretty much doing the “I told you so!” To the posters and people that are questioning the handling of the searches, and the fact that the bag has been overlooked… the weathering of the bag, the indentation on the ground, the lack of foliage under the bag, as well as other scientific data that can be gathered from the scene can paint a fairly accurate picture as to how long the bag has been in this location. Stop pointing fingers at the searchers and start pointing them at the lying, manipulative, homicidal maniac that the Anthony’s raised.

Tim Miller’s explanation is sound. The area was flooded from the hurricane season, and according to neighbors, the woods only receded about two weeks ago. Tim Miller stated he consciously decided to avoid trampling the woods, under water, for fear of displacing or losing evidence, and his intuition was right on the money. He had already lost a 4x4 in the mud, and felt horses, or human feet could push down evidence into the soft silt, or scatter anyting that was there. On the other hand, according to Tim, the police said that the bag revealed that it had been there for long enouogh to obliterate growth under it, and was perfectly reasonable with the bag being placed there early in the case.

I am not surprised that Casey Anthony dumped Caylee’s body so close to home. Criminals aren’t smart. Casey is a sociopath who doesn’t worry about getting caught. She does what is best for her. The body was stinking up the car trunk and she couldn’t stand it anymore so she stopped the car and threw the garbage bag in the bushes. Then when that didn’t get rid of the stink, she abandoned the car in front of a check cashing place hoping someone desperate for money would steal her purse from the front seat and/or the car and his fingerprints would be all over the car, making him the suspect and not her when the body was found. Casey thinks she’s smarter than the police and she believes that Big Daddy Baez, Mommy, Daddy and Big Brother will all get her out of this mess. Believe me they are trying but me thinks the noose is tightening around Casey Anthony’s neck and that’s why she needed a sedative. Because she bagged the body, it was more preserved since the plastic kept it from being eaten by animals. The skull and bones should give the medical examiner a clue to how and when she died. Of course, the dream team will dispute all the evidence. However, the jury will realize that the defense witnesses are paid to say what they are saying and the state’s witness would have no reason to lie to frame Casey Anthony. The state wants to punish the right person who did this and that person is in jail. Thank God that the state has the body and hopefully evidence tying Casey Anthony to the garbage bag. Now there is no reasonable doubt that Caylee is alive and there will be no more Caylee sightings. Hopefully Cindy and George will mourn their loss and keep their mouth shut and let the detectives and prosecutors do their job and leave the defending of their daughter to her “dream team.”

Whatever happened to unconditional love…isn’t that what parents have for their family…children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters moms and dads…Please leave Cindy and George alone. This is what they know and all they know…unconditional love. This generation now does not have the same love and repect for family as have previous generations. I hope as everyone did that Caylee would be found alive but as time went on the chances in my heart grew dimmer. This is another example of what this generation has become children having children.

Rose, George and Cindy’s defense of their daughter is not unconditional love. George and Cindy are lying for Casey and covering up for her and enabling her to continue her destructive behavior. Unconditional love is when a parent says to a child, “I will always love you and forgive you if you tell the truth and take responsibility for your behavior. But I will not lie for you and cover up for you.” Cindy and George have admitted that their daughter has been lying and stealing from them and the family for years but they have never held her accountable for her behavior. Despite the fact that she has stolen thousands of dollars from them, they have never had her arrested. When Casey stole from her grandfather’s assisted living fund, Cindy paid it back instead of having Casey arrested and making Casey pay it back. Now they are trying to get Casey off for murdering their granddaughter. This is not unconditional love. This is sick dysfunctional behavior. Casey is not a child. She is 22 years old. Many women in this generation and past generations had more than one child by the time they were her age. They did not kill their children. Casey killed Caylee because she is a sociopath, not because she is too young to be a mother.

Sorry, water levels don’t cut it for me. That water wasnt high enough not to search. She is right where one of the pings pointed to. Also with today’s technology well there’s ways. The LE in Florida are lazy, but I do commend their efforts, they just need more qualified people,,,Look how long it took to close the John Walsh case, LE lost a car/ evidence etc,,,Caylee should’ve been found months ago enough excuses…This girl will walk if they continue to lack professionalism/ experienced good investigations, for gods sake I didnt even hear them question casey about the bio-father, something smells!!!

What happened to divers, they could’ve used divers in the area near the Anythony house like they did at that river and the river was deeper. I’m tired of hearing excuses from the OCSD and them tiptoeing around this family. They need to make an example out of all of them or this type of thing will happen again., .Enough pussyfooting for gods sake.

well jose bias 100% sure the nutcase didn’t do it, here is your 100% that she did do it, and she was right, she was still close to home….. Now casey will get what she needs to get, jailed for life, and she should not get protective custody, she should be put in main stream, so the folks can show her what its like, to have people around you that don’t love you. GOD BLESS YOUR LITTLE SOUL ANGEL CAYLEE MARIE. Now maybe her parents will face up to the facts, that you raise a liar, thief, manipulator for your whole life and things like this happen, she should have been punished when caught doing all the wrong things, and hurting people and stealing from her own grandparents. what a truly low life scumbag you’ve raised. - Meeps well meeps i can really understand your fustration, firstly as a lawyer Jose Baez is only doing his job,its really unfair of you to critize him and his team for that?someone has to defend someone has to prosicute, its the law…I am really glad that he can hold his head up high. I for one give him krudos…now on the other hand if he proffits by this representation than that is something the bar will have to handle, i dont understand how so many lay people think they know the law better than the law does.
