Eliot Spitzer to be New Columnist for 'Slate'

Eliot Spitzer just landed a new job as a columnist for "Slate."
The former New York governor's new weekly column, "The Best Policy," will focus primarily on the financial crisis, fixing financial markets and other economy related issues.
Jacob Weisberg, the editor-in-chief of the Slate Group, lobbied after Spitzer for months before a deal was signed.
"It was not an epic negotiation," said Weisberg. "He was very receptive to the idea. I don't portray this as something we had to coax him into. He's got a lot to say and he was very receptive to writing on the subject."
