Ultimate Nightmare: Mom Finds Daughter Dead

Two recent news stories made our hearts break for these mothers.

Mixed martial arts and UFC fighter Justin Levens, 28, and his wife, Sarah McLean-Levens, 25, were found shot to death in their California condo yesterday in what police believe to be a murder-suicide.
The couple's bodies were reportedly discovered by Sarah McLean-Levens' mother, who called 911.
Back in October, newscaster Anne Pressly's mother, Patricia Cannady, was the one to discover her daughter's almost lifeless body after she had been beaten and attacked. She was bleeding from the head and almost unrecognizable. Anne died five days later.
As a mother, finding your own child's body has to be the ultimate nightmare. It's a pain we cannot even begin to imagine.
Grief counselor Traci Bieber Nelson, mother of three and author of Waking to Tears, lost both her parents to violence. Her father was shot right in front of her, and then her mother was bludgeoned to death by her stepfather many years later. She says from this day forward, these mothers will never be the same. "They are no longer the same people," she says. "Yes, this will make them stronger ... but there's a lot of pain and healing that must go on to get to that point. Just because they find a perpetrator or convict someone, it's not over. Your life is forever changed."
Our hearts go out to Sarah's mother and Anne's mother in this horrific time.

That would be so horrible. A friend mine recently lost her daughter to murder. The girl was 19 and 2 months pregnant. The boyfriend came home from the store and found her shot in the neck. Some 15 year old kid admitted to it, but everyone thinks it was the boyfriend. It’s horrible. She is not dealing very well.
