Are you continuously disappointed with what's out there in your size? Check out these tips from a celebrity designer.

For some of us, it's difficult finding a plus-sized look that's hip and fashion-forward. According to designer for the curvy Monif C, who is herself a plus-sized woman, the most common mistake women make is putting limitations on themselves, thinking "Because I'm plus-size I can't wear white or because I'm plus-size I can't wear stripes."

The trick to wearing yellow, purple, green and even stripes is to find something that fits you well. People who limit themselves to wearing black, brown and tan fail to express themselves, and "that's what fashion is about," says the 29-year-old designer. Also, she suggests wearing the right undergarments is universally important, not just to a plus-sized woman but to everyone.

I couldn’t agree more.

I love wearing white and a lot of people are surprised because of my size. I also wear stripes - even horizontal ones if I want.

As Monif says the right undergarments are essential and can make you feel sexy too.

Thanks for this article!

Nice article. Enjoyable and fun reading. There’s one point to make about tee shirts.
