A runaway foster child showed up in a gym yesterday wearing only boxers and a chain attached to his ankle. The 17-year-old said he had been held captive for over a year.

Girl Scout leader and stay-at-home mom Kelly Layne Lau is now under arrest along with her husband Michael Schumacher. Their next court date is Thursday and bail has been set at $1.2 million. They're being held on suspicion of conspiracy, torture, kidnapping, child beating, false imprisonment by force and paying a parent for adoption of a child, according to online jail information. The couple's four children, ages 1 to 9, are in the custody of social service workers.

The aunt of the boy has also been arrested in connection with the case, police said today.

We took a look at Kelly Layne Lau's MySpace page (which has since been taken down) for some clues into how a seemingly "normal" mom could be be capable of such an unspeakable act.

Favorite TV shows: Six Feet Under, Family Plots, Nip/Tuck and Dexter. Anything that's gruesome. I'm weird I guess.
