Mom Says Goodbye to Caylee Anthony

Momlogic's Andrea: It doesn't seem possible. I watched. I waited. We all did. Maybe one of the sightings in Florida really was Caylee. Maybe, just maybe, Casey Anthony isn't lying and Caylee is in the care of her Nanny Zanni. It couldn't be that she's really gone. Not Caylee.

But D.N.A. doesn't lie. Even if we can will our mind to ignore the obvious truths.

This story of Caylee Anthony, which I have been following closely for momlogic, has had an enormous impact on me. I have a daughter, the same age as Caylee. People often remark how much they look alike (but don't all little girls resemble each other -- all little kids for that matter?). They all love to play, to look at picture books, to mug for the camera. Caylee touched so many because she was "every toddler."

And now she's no longer with us

It took a while for it to sink in. The announcement was made last week, her little body identified. Yet, when I look over at my daughter happily clutching her doll -- the one so similar to the one Caylee holds in her car seat -- I want to believe she's still here. Still laughing, smiling and delighting her doting grandparents. The hardest thing to bear, in all the pictures of her we've seen on the endless news coverage, Caylee looks like a little girl loved. At least for a time.

Our instincts to protect children couldn't save Caylee. We can only watch the horrific story unfold and look into Casey Anthony's cold eyes and wonder.

It's now time to say goodbye to Caylee -- and to hold our own children tighter than ever.

I just do not understand why a young mother of such a beautiful little girl could do such a thing. I am 30 years old and have a 4 1/2 year old daughter of my own, she is the world to me! I could not even imagine doing something like this to my wonderful little angel and go on and party away just as if she had never been in my life. I hope Casey gets what is coming to her and may God have mercy on her soul because she is going to need it. I have been watching this ever since this all started and I know with all of my heart Casey did this to her wonderful little angel. All the evidence points to her, if she did not want his little girl she should have given custody to the grandparents, because they truly did love this little angel.

The Lord said, Vengenence is mine but he did not say anthing about seeking justice. They should give her sodium penethol to make her tell the truth, then fry her in the chair to prevent her from destroying another life. Casey Anthony has really destroyed the lives of everyone she has touched. She has lied, cheated & stole from everyone she could. Mommie & Daddy can’t get her out of this one. we can say and think what ever we feel but the fact is we will never know why casey did what she did . the facts are all there and they are casey murdered her daughter. something sure went wring in this girl’s life . but no excuse to kill someone . mentally ill know right from wrong . i’m a grandma and i tell my kids all the time how much i love my grand children. being a grandma is so much better then being a mom. why this is no idea but it is . for casey’s mother to act the way she is there is something surely wrong in her head . she needs to face the fact on what her daughter really is . very uncaring and never will be able to care about anyone . she seemed to have guy after guy after guy. they need to try and find out who the real father of caylee is . sure it’

My heart aches for poor little Caylee, her life was cut to short. Such a lovely, darling child born to a selfish, cold unfeeling mother. Caylee, I am so sorry.

A voice for Caylee: Mommy why are you mad at me? Did I do something wrong? Mommy why do you call me those ugly names? Do you still love me? Mommy why are you putting that duct tape on my mouth and head? Mommy the tape is pulling my hair and it hurts. Mommy why does that rag smell bad? Mommy why are you putting that rag over my nose? Mommy I’m getting sleepy. I’m going to take a nap. When I wake up I will be good so your not mad at me anymore.

My baby girl will soon be 8yrs old and when I look into her big brown eyes so like mine I see all the love in the world looking back at me. I can’t begin to fathom what would drive a parent to this. There is a song called “Jesus has a Rocking Chair” and I believe HE is holding this precious baby in His arms now. Hold your kids close to you no matter their age and tell’em you love ‘em a million times a day.

i just look at the picture of that beautiful lil angel and i just wish i could have been there for her before all this happened… i sometimes wonder “what if god had maybe given her to me? then she wouldn’t have gone through what she had gone through” …i look at my 3 yr old daughter now and it just breaks my heart that anyone could do this… how did casey anthony sleep at night in her comfortable bed, while her daughter’s remains were thrown in a garbage bag, then thrown on the side of the road? we can wonder and wonder, but one thing we do know, is that lil angel is safe and happy with our father above… god bless u sweet caylie..until we meet again, johanna

It is terrible that ANYONE especially a parent can kill a child and show NO remorse whatsoever. On the flipside however this child was spared a lifetime of crazy. Growing up with these lunatics she would likely have turned out to be no better than the trash she comes from.

I am glad that the law inforcers in the state of Florida are carefully going threw I am sure every bit of everything so when she finally get into general population she stays there indefinitly I like to know after about a week or so what bothers or had bothered her more poor little Caylee or prison. I hope someone asks her that question.

I would like to address vh1 it is true that she is spared the insane life sytle that she was going to be forced to live however NO one will ever know now, My greatest pray is lets get her off the streets before she has a chance to do this to another child. Lee, who I believe to be the father of Caylee doesn’t need to have any other children himself, and is just as quilty as the rest of the family, it was a doomed from the begining.

You don’t have to be a psychiatrist to see that Casey Anthony IS a sociopath.Look up the characteristics: profoundly self-centered, incapable of empathy, impulsive, contemptuous of authority, risk-taking, compulsive liar,regards others as something to USE or discard if they get in her way…does that sound like her? Yes! If she is a sociopath, perhaps that can be used in her defense, since she probably did not choose to be a sociopath, and perhaps she is mentally ill…

Seriously I think that there are some deep physcological problems between casey and her mother. I can’t imagine what that poor baby Kaylee went through. I have 3 girls whom I love so deeply and I am just sickened by way that poor little innocent sweet baby lost her life! Casey needs to walk the green mile. Also what happened to her cell phone? nothing has been mentioned about what text was on it and calls she made? So very very sad! I can’t believe that casey can blatanley would lie like that and think that she was believed!

just heard about george anthomy. casey is out to kill him to. this man needs to get away from casey and her mom/ they both have serious problems. as for casey’s lawyer he needs to be bared from casey. this man i won’t even call a lawyer. just wonder what he and casey really did in his office for 6 hrs a day. this guy is creepy slimy in my book.i’m an old granny and can right threw him

SOOOOOOOOOOOO, IS CASEY PREGANT AGAIN ? IS THAT WHY SHE DOESNT WANT TO BE IN THE PUBLIC ? THE TALKER’S SHOWS SAY SHE GAINED BY LOUNGING AND SNACKING… OTHERS SAY SHE WAS PREG. WHEN THIS ALL STARTED.. SHOULD BE 6 OR 7 MO. NOW IF……

Well,I think that whole mememorial was a joke, it was for Casey and her case. does anyone feel the same, I still think that there is something so wrong with that whole family,sick very very sick,how did they manage to move so quickly away from that angel into the devils den with Casey…..??????

All i have to say is walk a mile in that families shoes. There is so many things in this case that do not add up. I don’t think we should be the Judge and Jury. Nancy grace has that covered. The grandparents need lots of prayer as does Casey. To lose your precious grandchild is bad enough but to even entertain the idea that your own daughter did it. I don’t want to even go there. Just keep this family in your prayer and let God be the judge.

Why is Casey able to get anything she wants while she is in jail. She should be banded from all the special foods,and what ever else she receives. She is a very heartless woman, who should not receive anything. This makes me sick to think and mother could do such a thing. DEATH PENALTY FOR HER, SHE DESERVES IT.
