President-elect Barack Obama said that daughters Malia and Sasha wouldn't be getting out of clean-up duty for their so-to-be canine addition.

Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7, will have to become "pooper-scooper experts" if they want to own a puppy. "You know, if they do their business, if they've got some poop - you got to make sure that you're not just leaving it there," Obama said.

He and his wife, Michelle, promised their daughters a puppy during Obama's presidential acceptance speech in November.
