Paula Blames Producers for Stalker Suicide
"American Idol" judge Paula Abdul told Barbara Walters that she warned 'Idol" producers that obsessed fan Paula Goodspeed was dangerous -- but they ignored her and, she says, encouraged the stalker's behavior.
Earlier this week Abdul was on "The View" and Barbara Walters' satellite radio show -- and said Goodspeed had been stalking her for 17 years. She said she had told the producers this, but they felt it would make "good TV" to put her on, so Paula says they disregarded her wishes and forced the two to be in the same room. Sadly, Goodspeed killed herself outside of Abdul's home in November.
