Sassy Water and the Flat Belly Diet

Earlier this year we told you about a new diet craze that was sweeping the country, "The Flat Belly Diet."

flat belly diet

The Flat Belly Diet, a weight-loss plan from Prevention magazine, promises to tighten tummies all over the nation with no crunches required. The diet focuses on five "Flat Belly" foods: oils, nuts and seeds, avocado, olives, and chocolate. (Chocolate? Bring it on!)

But in case you haven't had the time (or the motivation) to kick your fitness regime into high gear, now comes Sassy Water, a crucial element to The Flat Belly Diet's Four Day Anti-Bloat Jumpstart.

During the jump start, dieters drink 2 liters of "sassy water," daily. This sassy drink is a blend of spices, herbs, citrus, and cucumber -- and it's supposed to help reduce bloating, constipation and help get rid of that sluggish feeling.

Tried the Flat Belly Diet or Sassy Water?? Did it work for you?

If adding some spearmint and other tasty things to water will get women to drink more of it, then way to go. I would not say that the water does anything spectacular, above and beyond hydrating-which most of us need.

So my feelings are *eh*…

I did the diet about a year ago. It did work, and I do occasionally cook out of the cookbook. I think the big plus was that it gets you to focus on drinking more water and less caffeine which is what I needed. I felt better. I had to have my cup of coffee in the morning. I still eat the chocolate, bannana waffle in the AMs (YUM!) and try to incorporate the good fats into my daily diet when I can.
