The Masked Millionaire

Lottery winning grandma goes incognito to claim her prize.
When Diana Jennings showed up to claim her $6 million dollar NY State Lottery prize yesterday, she brought along her good luck -- and a disguise. The 58-year-old Staten Island grandma faced the cameras with her face concealed by a hat, scarf and sunglasses.
Even thought the press conference was held indoors, she kept the disguise on the entire time, even while posing for her official lottery winner portrait. Jennings claimed she was covering up because she was sick. Not so, say many of those who attended the unusual press conference. Clearly, this newly minted millionaire is rich -- but camera-shy. And seriously, who could blame her? Would you want to field phone calls from long-lost family and friends looking for a handout if you were just handed a $6 million dollar check?
The mother of two and grandmother of three said she used her family's birthdays to choose her lucky numbers. She left the press conference still covered up and quiet. But while she refused to speak to the press, Jennings did release a statement through the lottery commission: "My family means everything to me. I'm so happy I can share this with them."
NY state lottery winners are obligated by law to show up for these press conferences. But, even so, lottery spokesperson John Charleston admits, "We do require that they participate in one event ... but we obviously can't tell them how to dress."
Well, with all that cash, Diana can now afford to buy a whole bunch of new disguises.

I cant even say that I blame her, and especially in this economy.
Imma pray for her safety.
