Is it just me, or is anyone else annoyed by the trend of giving boys names that rhyme with “Aiden” and girls names that look like they were pulled straight from Jane Austen books? Call me boring, but I love traditional names like Robert or Thomas.

Yes it’s just you, we’re in 2008,soon to be 2009.Names like Thomas or Robert are too old, too common, let’move on, shall we, to somethings new!

My poor baby girl!! She was born in 2007 and we named her Sophia, not knowing that it was one of the most popular names. I have never known another Sophia and now she’ll probably go to school with 10 of them. I always hated my name because every school I went to there were 20 other Ashleys.

I love my baby girls names cause it’s original her name is kailani.. (Kai stands for ocean and Lani stands for heaven. We Live in the province of Quebec and there are only 2 kailani born since 2006.

I’d rather give my child a unique name. Maybe based from me and my husbands names. I hate it when someone’s name is the same as mine.

I’m having a baby girl and I’ll name her Eilleen. It’s not in the list ‘coz I don’t want her to have the same name as everyone’s, it’s annoying. I already got her baby bows.
