Thomas is accused of throwing a bag of flour in her tenant's face after an argument. Cops say Thomas yelled at tenant Michael Nolden to turn down his TV. She then allegedly broke several Christmas tree lights and ultimately threw flour
at the man. Nolden has since moved out of the
basement room he was renting from Thomas.
At her arraignment on domestic violence charges, a surprised Thomas plead not guilty and told the judge Nolden had thrown a pan at her, adding "He told me to get a pizza" because she was on the popular show. She also said "I'm really a good upstanding person. I can't believe this is even happening to me."
Court records show the incident happened December 16. Thomas was arrested and arraigned on Tuesday.
Apparently this isn't Thomas' first run-in with law enforcement. Court records indicate she was arrested and plead guilty to DUI in 2004. She was placed on 12 months probation.
She faces up to 93 days in jail.
Thomas, along with her mother, is competing as one of the 11 couples teams competing on this season of NBC's weight loss show that premiered last night. During the show, it was revealed that nine of the contestants would be sent home to try and lose weight, while their partners remained at the show's complex. Shanon's mother and partner Helen Phillips was chosen to remain in Los Angeles. According to Shanon, she started the show weighing in at 280 lbs. Now she says she's lost nearly 100 lbs, weighing in at 185.
This season's "Biggest Loser" premiere was the most watched ever with 11.8 million viewers.
