PiscesBoy Shoots Baby Sitter With Shotgun
Associated Press: Police say an angry 4-year-old Ohio boy grabbed a gun from a closet and shot his baby sitter.
Eighteen-year-old Nathan Beavers was hospitalized Sunday with minor wounds to his arm and side after the shotgun attack. Police say another teen was also injured.
Witnesses told police the child was angry because Beavers accidentally stepped on his foot. Beavers was watching the child at a mobile home in Jackson with several other teenagers and several other children.
Jackson County Sheriff John Shashteen says authorities are investigating. The child has not been charged.

I agree sounds like teens at play
A loaded shotgun?? in the closet. The parents should be arrested for stupidity.
what is wrong with those teen agers blaming that little boy i doubt that a four year old can fire a shot gun and how the heck did the boy get the gun im glad the boy didnt get charged because it really sound like he didnt do it
Sounds like some questionable parenting all around.
What really happened in that mobile home? How does a 4 year old know how to shoot a gun. I bet the kids were playing with the gun and it went off and their now trying to blame the child. Why would you have teen aged boys watching your children anyway?

I HAVE A FIVE YEAR OLD NEPHEW THAT GOES TO THE RANGE WITH HIS GRANDFATHER AND IS ABLE TO PICK UP AND FIRE A RIFLE NO PROBLEM GUNS AREN’T THAT HEAVY AND IF HE’S SEEN AN ADULT DO IT THEN THERE YOU HAVE IT. I’M NOT TAKING BLAME FROM THE BABY SITTER OR THE PARENTS I JUST THINK ITS TOTTALLY POSSIBLE AND WITH THE WAY SOME KIDS ARE I DON’T THINK IT’S IMPOSSIBLE.

I thought all firearms were suppose to have a special lock, or be in a locked cabint…. laws are diffrent state to state. It’s still a good idea to follow safty messures. Maybe all would have been prevented, thankful that the teen survived an didn’t get his head blown off.
I do believe a 4 yo can shoot. I taught my children how to shoot while they were young ehough to hold one. (No, I do not keep weapons in my house). I was taught when I was two and have been shooting ever since. But, I agree the parents are responsible for the weapon.The parents need to be charged. I was babysitting for an 8yo boy and he got made at me for not letting him go outside and he put a double barrel in my face. So I do think the 4yo boy is able to fire a weapon!!
This sounds fishy to me, i have a hard time believing a preschooler can carry and fire a heavy shot gun properly.
