Carnie Wilson's Unborn Baby's Name

The expectant mom told Bonnie Hunt what she's going to name her baby. Already the mother of three-year-old Lola Sofia, the singer is due in five months.

On "The Bonnie Hunt Show" airing Tuesday, Carnie Wilson said, "It's Luciana -- but we'll call her Lucy. Isn't that great?" She went on to say, "I love being 40 and pregnant. It rocks! I am Fertile Myrtle, you could say." How did she reveal to jazz musician husband Rob Bonfiglio that she was pregnant for the second time? "I taped the [pregnancy stick] to the door. I drew three little stick figures and then a tiny one and said, 'Guess what?' "
We asked Jennifer Moss, founder of BabyNames.com for her take on Carnie's choice. "I think Luciana is a beautiful name. I assume that she is pronouncing it Looseeanna, since she wants to use Lucy as the nickname, but I prefer the Italian pronounciation Loo-chee-ah-na. The nickname, Lucy, reminds me of Lucille Ball or the Peanuts Lucy, so it has does have a specific association with it. Not my style, but it's easy to spell and pronounce."

Congrats to Carnie.
