Was Caylee Anthony a Child of Incest?

Friday, January 9, 2009

Some believe Caylee Anthony was a product of incest. Could it be possible, or are people just grasping at straws to make sense of a senseless crime?

Casey Anthony and Lee Anthony
There is so much of the Casey Anthony case that doesn't compute. Sadly, there's is only one thing we know for sure: Caylee Marie Anthony is dead. It's not even clear who her father was. If you believe anything the Anthony family says, you might buy that Caylee's biological father was killed in a car crash a year after she was born.

Or, if you're one of the many people following the case, you might believe that little Caylee was actually the product of an incestuous relationship between Casey and her brother Lee. One clue of the illicit sibling coupling, says believers, is that "Caylee" is a hybrid of names Casey and Lee. Hmm. For some, this Casey-Lee incest could unravel more than a few mysteries.

"As for the incest story ... it sure would explain a lot of Casey's behavior, the lies for one," writes one armchair detective on a Casey Anthony message board. "Her sociopathic behavior. And why Cindy is going to such lengths to protect her. Denial would have been something Cindy's been used to dealing with, denying her children are having sex."

The hypothesis doesn't come out of nowhere. Jesse Grund, Casey's former fiance, told investigators that Casey once mentioned receiving unwanted advances from her brother:

Is it possible that the breakdown of the Anthony family unit is due to a child conceived by two siblings, and a grandmother hellbent on raising the child as her own? Even though it's been speculated that Lee himself is involved in aiding and abetting his sister, incest still seems pretty far-fetched; more like the imaginative musings of conspiracy theorists rather than actual reality.

But incest is more prevalent than any of us would like to believe. In fact, 10-15% of the general population have had a least one incestuous experience. say sources, but less than 2% involve intercourse or attempted intercourse.

According to Dr. Charles Sophy, Medical Director for the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services, sexual relationships between siblings start early in 70-90% of cases. "Sexual contact would be initiated somewhere before adulthood," he says.

Kids, after all, will be kids. And kids are curious. "There is an appropriate range of inquisitiveness," explains Dr. Sophy,  "but there's a fine line to when it becomes an ingrained pattern of behavior." At that point, a parent might want to bring in an expert to assess the situation, suggests Dr. Sophy.

When presented with the scenario that Cindy Anthony forced Casey to have the offspring of an incestuous relationship, Dr. Sophy seems to think it's at least plausible. "These are disturbed families that don't make judgments on solid ground," he says. "They don't get genetic counseling. By allowing their children to have children, they don't understand incest's biological and social impacts."

One of those impacts that's generally assumed is automatic genetic abnormalities. But if Caylee was indeed conceived from an incestuous relationship between Lee and Casey, "it's not a guarantee that the brother and sister are going to have a retarded child," Dr. Sophy says.

All of this speculation seems moot with DNA technology available. Have investigators looked into the possibility that Lee is the father of Caylee? We asked Carlos Padilla of the Orange County Sheriff's Office. "They did get DNA from him [Lee] but I don't know what it was for,"  says Padilla. When asked to confirm or deny the incest rumors, Padilla tells momlogic: "I can't say [the incest rumor]  is true or I can't say it's not true. We've never approached that subject, but many, many people have called us with that suggestion."

This blog is so distasteful and just plain wrong. How can you spread rumors like this about a child, that was only two years old, who might have died in the hands of her own mother, and say she was born out of incest just to get blog rankings and hits. Pathetic! What makes you any better then the Anthonys and others who are using her to their advantage for money and fame?

This is way too obvious. This case is stranger than fiction. Look at the pictures. Caylee’s a dead ringer for Lee and george. There is truth in every bit of Casey’s lies. She is a money wh**re and as a child who grew up with a deceased parent, who died in a car wreck, I can tell you my father collected a check of over one thousand dollars a month from social security! Listen to the jailhouse tapes-there are cryptic secrets and messages all in those tapes! I 100% believe Caylee is Lee’s. LE is not going to release all info until trial. Why do you think Lee now has an atty. And why did he go out of his way for a baby killer?

It’s like the cat who said to another cat, “I don’t know who the father is. I was eating at the time.”

I have never believed the ‘father killed in an auto accident’ story. My hunch is that Casey doesn’t know who the father is, OR Lee is the father. If the latter is true, I think it would help to explain a few things. Personally, I would like to know, not so I can make judgements, but to help to make sense of everything. But, I doubt we will ever know, and maybe that is the way it should be. Unlike many/most, I feel for the *entire* family. We live in an imperfect world, and terrible mistakes are made, with terrible consequences.

I don’t think it matters one way or another. Why is it important? Does it change anything? No. Does it exonerate the murderess? No. Does it help the prosecution or defense? I tend to doubt it. Is it true? Who knows, and who cares? I wouldn’t believe one thing that woman says one way or another. If she told me the sky was blue I’d check for myself.

I have always thought that Caylee was born due to incest and either Lee or George is the father. That would explain the dysfunction of this family, secrets, lies and Casey’s behavior. Will it come out in trial?

Besides, it won’t matter if Casey says it or not, can’t they tell with DNA if Lee or George is the father?

Alex, they could tell by the DNA, but I haven’t heard anything about them checking. If they *have* checked and it is *true*, it is being kept hush hush.

I think the reason people are speculating about Lee being the Father of Caylee is because it really would explain some things. Why Casey hid her pregnancy for 7 MONTHS, why she wanted to give the baby up for adoption, and the big one why Casey killed her daughter. If Caylee was a product of incest perhaps Casey was haunted by this fact. Could it be possible that she killed Caylee because of that? If Lee was the biological father of Caylee, there is the illusive motive. Right now all we have for a motive is that Casey wanted to party… well she had a live in babysitter which was her parents, why kill because of that? If Lee is Caylee’s biological father, that would explain so many things. That is why I don’t believe he is, that would make too much sense as to why Casey felt she had to murder her daughter, that she had demons due to this insectuous relationship. I’m not buying it. I think Casey is just cold and had no motive. She killed her daughter on purpose because she wanted to move on in her life and didn’t want Cindy Anthony to be able to say “I told you so” so she disposed of her poor baby then tried to cover it up which she did poorly. It is possible it was an impulse killing and that she did not plan it, but I doubt it. I’m sure there is way more info and we just don’t know it yet. When the trial comes we shall see. I’m interested to see if the Anthony’s are present at the trial, and if they are whose side will they sit on? The victims or the accused?? Should tell a lot…

Wow! I never heard anyone mention the possiblility that maybe Caylee could have been Lee’s and Casey’s child. I thought I was the only one who the idea popped into their head. I believe it’s possible because intuition tells me his uncopertiveness is not only due to his helping his sister cover up for what she had done, but maybe he was in on it because neither of them wanted anyone to ever find out, including the parents / grandparents.

it would not suprise me in the least if it was proven that Lee was the father of Caylee. The whole family is nuts. I did hold out hope for George until he started saying that it was the pizza that stunk. He know’s better, he smelled that smell before. I smelled that dead smell a few times and there is no mistaking it for anything else. If there was anyone out there that could be the father of Caylee other than Lee, I’m sure they would have stepped up and came forward. I don’t for one minute believe that the father was a friend that died in an accident. As a matter of fact I think the family of the guy that died did come forward and say their son was not the father of Caylee. I would love to have a few minutes alone with Casey Anthony to wipe that smug look off her face. I say turn her loose in the prison population. She will get just what she deserves.

Well, if Casey does’nt know who the father is, would’nt every guy she slept with(what)3-4 years ago come out of the wood work? Just a thought. If I were a guy who slept with her around that time, I would be doing something.

Casey Anthony is a cold blooded disgusting monster who deserves to be sentenced to death. I have to say the whole case is bizarre and usually when something is that bizarre and unexplainable there is some type of cover up, which explains the “Lee Theory”. She didn’t “kill” her daughter to party, when her parents were so much a part of Caylee’s life they watched her when she went out. There is simply more to this sad story. Her parents and brother should all face some sort of jail time, they know or knew all along that she murdered Caylee. Being a mother myself I love my children dearly, but if they murdered an innocent child, especially one that was my grandaughter that is when all ties would HAVE TO BE CUT! Really think about it WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS FAMILY?

Guys, please stop with the incest accusations. It’s obvious from reading every police transcript interview that Casey told things about herself and her family differently to each person in order to plant seeds of doubt in everyone’s minds. Dad said he didn’t care for Jesse in his interviews with FBI and didn’t trust him. Why? Because she was probably badmouthing Jesse behind his back to her family and vice versa and everyone of them fell for it hook, line and sinker. She does this why? Simply for amusement. Psychopaths get easily bored and restless. They need to shake things up a bit for no damn good reason other than amusement and the power they get from conning people.

The damage of incest to Casey whether by her “father” “George”, brother Lee, or even that Grandpa in the home….absolutely explains the sexualized and callous personality of Casey, and her regard for the child as an “it”…the only affection Casey may have received was from one of these men as a young girl, even if it was sexual…her Mom, Cindy, is a cold and controlling wierdo…and it twisted Casey for ever as a sociopathis narcissist…..any Psychologists reading this?

I guess it is possible Caylee is a product of incest, and yes, the police could easily determine whether or not Lee was the father, because they now have samples of DNA from all alleged parties (Casey, Lee, and Caylee). They also have DNA from the alleged deceased father (taken at the time of the accident). It would be VERY easy to compare their DNA profiles and determine whether either is the father. If you will recall, when some of the family dynamics started surfacing, it was reported that Casey did not admit that she was pregnant until her SEVENTH month, when other family members kept asking if Casey was pregnant and both she and Cindy denied it. This is one fascinatingly psychotic family. I guess its true you really DON’T know what goes on behind closed doors. In this case, their inability to be truthful has ended in the death of a beautiful little girl. So tragic.

The Anthony clan knew exactly who the father was the day Caylee was born. Come on it’s elementary, and doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. (Casey + Lee = Caylee) This is a completely sick family. What I find very sad is that Caylee was going to be raised by the same mother of those two. (Shame on you GRANDMA Anthony the way you raised your children) The poor baby was living with all these selfish shameless people.
