Casey Anthony Might Watch Funeral from Jail

Tuesday, January 6, 2009

Here are the latest developments.

If a local TV station carries Caylee Anthony's memorial, Casey Anthony might be allowed to watch from jail, a corrections spokesman -- who wished to remain anonymous -- says.

However, the spokesman insisted the Corrections Department has not made a final decision on whether to allow Casey Anthony to watch the funeral or not. Earlier, jail officials said she would not be allowed to leave jail to attend a memorial or funeral for her daughter.

Casey Anthony is accused of first-degree murder in her daughter's death. The memorial expected to be held later this month after the defense team completes its work on the toddler's remains.

In related news, Jose Baez, Casey's criminal attorney, has set up a new tipline: 407-442-2814.

"We are particularly interested in the area where the remains were found," the recorded message says. "If your tip is deemed credible, you will be contacted immediately."

The message (in both English and Spanish) says attorney Jose Baez and his defense also will accept documents and photos, which can be sent to the following e-mail address: caseyinfoline@yahoo.com.

I know that people should be presumed innocent until proven guilty, but everything about that woman screams cold blooded killer.

guilty or not she should still be able to witness the funeral. If she did it then let her heart be filled with remorse by watching her little girl be buried, and if shes not guilty shes deserved to say her last goodbyes.

I doubt if Casey will want to watch the service. Casey doesn’t care about Caylee. She was watching videos and sleeping with her boyfriend, dancing at a hot body contest at a bar, getting a tattoo “Beautiful Life” and text messaging friends while Caylee’s body lie decomposing in her trunk. She lied to police and was not even interested in searching for her daughter. After she was arrested, all she wanted was to talk to her boyfriend and went into a rage and swore at her family and friends because they were emotional about Caylee being missing.

sally is right….casey does not care about that baby, in the call home the night she was arrested and asking for tony’s number she said to her friend, “All they care about is getting Caylee back!” That says it ALL. She is GUILTY and her family IMO should be right there with her for not standing up for little Caylee. That child deserves to be laid to rest!!

Letting Caylee’s remains just sit in a box is passive-aggressive behavior.

I think Casey should be forced to watch the burial. That girl needs a dose of reality. Oh, excuse me guard could I order some Popcorn with that video??

I am a firm believer in innocent until proven guilty but one has to admit it’s hard in this case. I predict she will be aquitted.

Howard Rankin, where in the world did you get the idea that Casey Anthony would be acquitted of killing her daughter? Could it be the fact that Casey celebrated her daughter being missing by moving in with her boyfriend, partying nightly, entering hot body contests, getting a tatoo, “Beautiful Life,” and smiling and telling friends and family that her toddler was at the beach and Disneyworld for 30 days before her mother found her abandoned car and called police? Or maybe it was the stench of a dead body in her car trunk that the cadaver dogs and five people smelled and FBI tests confirmed? How about Casey lying to the police about having a job, talking to Caylee on the phone the day before and a nanny that doesn’t exist? Maybe it’s her daughter’s skull ending up in the woods behind her home with duct tape on its mouth and clues leading right back to Casey six months after her mother calls 911? Exactly what evidence is going to acquit the murderer of her daughter’s death?

Innocent until proven guilty - I believe in that. But I have followed this crime from the first day and find it very hard to believe that Casey is innocent in the death of her daughter. She does NOT deserve the right to see that sweet little angel laid to rest.
