Evidence Mounts Against Casey Anthony

Here are the latest developments in the case.

Sources close to the Casey Anthony case told CNN's Orlando affiliate, Local 6 News, that they have overwhelming evidence showing that she intentionally killed her daughter, Caylee, and was solely responsible for the toddler's death.

According to the sources, investigators have reportedly been able to establish a timeframe of death for Caylee that dates back to June based on reports from the botanist and entomologist that visited the site where Caylee was found.

Sources say plants were growing through Caylee's skeleton and bug evidence was also recovered that helped the experts reach their conclusion. Investigators reportedly believe that Anthony killed Caylee on June 16th, left her in the trunk of her car for a couple of days and then dumped Caylee in the wooded area on June 18th, where she was eventually found, on December 11th.

The reason that this new evidence is significant is because it proves that Caylee was killed some time in June, way before her mother reported her missing on July 15th of last year.

Sources say test results conducted in the trunk of Anthony's car show Caylee spent at least 2 days in the car before her body was dumped just yards from her own home. The Orlando station also reports that a hair found in the trunk of Anthony's car matches hair taken from Caylee's remains.

Anthony, 22, remains jailed on first-degree murder charges in her daughter's death. Caylee was 2 years old when she was reported missing in mid-July, a month after she had last been seen.

Anthony insists that she left her daughter with a babysitter in June, but she didn't report her missing until July. The babysitter who Casey alleges has her daughter has never been found. Last month, human remains found in a wooded area near Caylee's grandparents' home were identified as missing Caylee.

Today, new footage was released of Anthony private investigator Dominic Casey ransacking through that wooded area back in November, a full month before the body was discovered there. The footage shows Dominic Casey searching and ramming a metal rod into the ground at the crime scene mere feet away from where Caylee's remains were later found. At one point, he even says "It would be right here" into the cell phone he is talking on.

Does anyone else think this is strange?????? I was just reading the transcript of Lee Anthony’s first police interview, and something struck me as odd. When he was describing the smell coming from Casey’s car in the garage he says, “The windows were rolled down to what I assume ventilate the horrible smell that I had just, just uh, smelled for the first time.” I wonder why he would feel the need to say that he had just smelled the smell for the first time. Wouldn’t it have made more sense to describe how horrible the smell was, and not mention that he was smelling it for the first time?

I think her brother had something to do with this before Casey was even arrested… I was just reading the transcript of Lee Anthony’s first police interview, and something struck me as odd. I’m SORRY I was a pest, or so you might say cramping your style both night and day a burden so heavy just causing you pain keeping you from friend and personal gain and for this I say I’m sorry. you hid me so well, so no one would see for all of your problems are sure to be me I stayed very quiet not uttering a sound They never gave up and soon I was found and for this I say I’m sorry. Your secret on earth is safe with me I told only one and yes it is he You will meet him someday I’ll be by his side someday you will face him there’s nowhere to hide and for this I say I’m sorry. please let her stay I promise to pray her path was rocky and easy to stray He touches my cheek and he’s sad to say “her place is not here and now she must pay” and for this I say I’m sorry.

I do believe Casey is so guilty, and even though I have not felt led to send her any money, I do pray for her and the rest of the family. The Bible does tell us to visit those in prisons and to give. Even God himself sends rain on the just and the unjust. Maybe the people who are giving the money are doing so out of Christian Love and Obedience to God because they cannot visit. Who knows, maybe they also sent notes and or scriptures to Casey. No matter what, God still loves Casey as much as He Loves the most righteous ones. I personally think she needs to spend the rest of her life in prison, rather than get the death penalty, so that she will have to live with the horror of what she has done. She will die one day, as we all will, and she will answer to God, as we all will, and she will surely be judged and punished for her sin(s), as we all will.

Donate what you are sending to Casey’s commissary fund to the State of Florida. The costs of this case are tremendous and now Florida faces the enormous expense of a trial. Because the coward won’t just admit she did it

I personally think that it’s ridiculous for anyone to even think about sending Casey Anthony any money for her prison fund. What are you people thinking? Yea, let’s give her money for her gourmet snacks and little goodies..PLEASE! Why not put your money to good use and donate to a fund to finally bury and put to rest poor little Caylee, whose remains are still sitting in a box in the funeral home !!Do you think her sleezy mother, Casey is worried about that ? I wish I could ask Casey now, was it all really worth it? Was the partying that fun ? The guys that hot ? The sex that good? Was it all worth destroying an innocent little life that you yourself created and brought into this world ?? Well Miss Casey Anthony, I hope you enjoyed all the partying, because those days are gone FOREVER !! ENJOY YOUR ETERNITY IN HELL !!!

I love how the religious are bringing God into this. If there were a God, then how could that God love anybody who could murder one of His own creatures? Why not be evil if God will love you just the same? Face it, Caylee’s not in Heaven; all that’s left of her had plant material growing through it. We have only this one life, and then we die. Caylee was robbed of her only chance at life. RIP Caylee.

I fervently hope Casey does not get the death penalty. A far worse punishment for her is life in prison. Not on death row where she’ll have some protection, but in the general population where child killers are at the very bottom of the caste. Casey’s worse fate would be to be in jail knowing she’s never going to get out—ever. No chance for freedom. No chance for parole. No more parties, clubbing, pretty clothes, attention from men. Just a gray, dreary existence made up of lights that never go off, drab walls, the threat of violence, the choking feeling of being trapped. No more manipulation, no more freedom, no more life for Casey. Death is way too easy. Let her age, wither and gray under the relentless florescent lights and sounds that never go quiet.

i think lee anthony planted the body in those woods, after they searched the area. thinking they would’nt go back again to search again. when casey was out of jail the first time [bailed out by lenord] she told lee where to find the body [remember she used nieghbors shovel] then lee went and retrieved the body wrapped the body in second bag and duct tapped the bag [ remember lee’s girlfriend went to anthonys house the sameday body was found, i think lee sent her there to maybe hide some kind of evidence he may have left behind] after lee placed the body in the woods. lee stayed out of the media for months.

Beautifully said, Marcie. I agree 100 per cent that Casey deserves to spend the rest of her living days in the hell of prison. I’m so glad her freedom was taken away from her July 16 when she thumbed her nose at authority and showed no concern about her toddler being missing 30 days. Since then Casey has been confined to a tiny jail cell or to her house or attorneys office. I love seeing Casey hobbling and wincing when the shackles hurt her delicate wrists or ankles. How dare a mother snuff out the life of her precious innocent child and stuff the body in a garbage bag and toss her in the car trunk and dump her in the woods along with garbage and dead pets to rot and then live it up partying, having sex and dancing on a pole for 30 days before she was caught! She killed for her freedom and now it has been taken away from her. She should never have one minutes peace after what she has done. I am sick of hearing that people are sending her money so she can indulge herself. What kind of jail provides shrimp cocktail and cocoa butter to inmates? She’s not on vacation at a spa. She is being punished for taking the life of her daughter.

I’ve followed this case since July and as soon as they released the first interview with Casey, I knew she was guilty! I think we’ve all known. Unfortunately, I don’t think the prosecution is seeking the death penalty - though she definitely deserves the CHAIR! Why do people do this? Having children myself, I’ll never understand how anyone is this sick and twisted…..

THE ENTIRE ANTHONY FAMILY IS SELF SERVING. THEY ARE ONLY WORRIED ABOUT THEIR IMMUNITY DEAL OR CASEY’S BEING IN JAIL. WHERE IS THE CONCERN FOR THIS LITTLE GIRL THAT WAS EXECUTED BY HER OWN MOTHER. NOW THE SLEAZE BALL GRANDPARENTS WANT TO CREMATE HER BECAUSE OF GRAVEROBBERS. PLEASE PEOPLE, BUY A CEMENT VAULT THEN, GIVE THIS LITTLE GIRL A LITTLE DIGNITY LEFT, BURY HER WHOLE. I’m really hoping that this trial will be televised. I have been following it since the very start. I cant wait to hear the judge sentence her (if not to death) to LIFE in prison. Whats going to happen when they put her in general population????????? HA HA WHO REALLY CARES!

Is anyone else curious as to why Lee Anthony is now seeking criminal immunity ? First George & Cindy now their son…. They are all definately worried about somthing. I’m not so sure if I would be so concerned about saving my own butt if I were in their shoes, that is if I had anything to hide !! I’d be heading down to that jail and smacking the crap out of that daughter , and then telling her to go straight to hell !!!!!
