Talk about double the fun! A mother in Detroit has given birth to twin boys. While that's not particularly interesting, this is: the newborns were born on different days and in different months -- of different years!
Tangernika Woods and her husband welcomed their first twin, 5 lb. 7 oz Tarrance, at 11:51 PM on Wednesday, December 31, 2008. Their second twin, 5 lb, 15 oz Tariq, made his entrance 26 minutes later at 12:17 AM Thursday, January 1, 2009.
Woods told reporters "It was a shock," adding she had wanted to give birth to the boys on New Year's Day, but the fraternal twins had other plans.
Woods' husband, Tarrance Sr., also a twin himself, said he understands the importance of having your own identity. "All I can say is they have their separate birthdays now, you know?" he said.
The couple also has a 7-year-old daughter and an 11-month-old son.

I find the fact that they have an 11 month old son more incredible than the twins spanning the year!
