Massive Peanut Butter Recall Widens

It seems like more and more contaminated products are added to the recall list each and every day. Check out this complete list of products affected, then clear your cabinets to keep your family safe.
Most moms (us included) are completely freaked out by the recent salmonella outbreak in peanut butter products.
How did this happen? Food safety experts say that after roasting, peanuts can be contaminated if they somehow come into contact with tainted water, or if birds or rodents get into the plant. (Ew.) They can also be cross-contaminated by equipment that is used to handle raw ingredients. Raw peanuts can harbor salmonella, just like other agricultural products.
Every day, it seems like the number of peanut butter products being pulled off store shelves just keeps on rising. The FDA says over 125 products have been recalled so far.
The list ranges from goodies like cookies and ice cream to energy bars. Even food for pooches may not be entirely safe, with a national company recalling some of its dog treats.
How can we keep it all straight? To help, we've compiled an up-to-date list of items that have been recalled due to this salmonella outbreak. (If you have these in your cabinets, they should be disposed of immediately.)

How scary. We will keep monitoring this situation and add new items to the list as more information becomes available. Check the official FDA list for up-to-the-minute updates and details.
When are the dates that this started. Do I throw out everyting in the cupboard or did it just start.
i have eaten all of my zone perfect peanut butter bars purchased at costco last week, still here….
I want a pb&j, but I’m almost out of pb. I need my fix.
We bought some Tagalongs (pb filled) from a girl scout the other day. My husband has devoured almost the whole box, unfortunately he’s still alive!! JK!!
Girl scout cookies are fine, thank goodness. ha ha. Please go on FDA.gov they have all the info on which products are bad. I also found additional info so if anybody needs it feel free to contact me.

PS Jason- They recalled going back to January 1,2007. Scarey if you ask me. I got sick 3 times in 2 months from this. Please be careful and read the website above.

I am so glad that I have my Pb2 peanut butter. I am super surprised that all my snack bars I have in the house right now aren’t affected by this recall. Woo Hoo for me!
