Levi Johnston, boyfriend of Gov. Sarah Palin's daughter Bristol, quit his oil field job under controversy regarding whether he is eligible to work in the electrical apprenticeship program.

Anchorage radio talk show host Dan Fagan questioned how Johnston, 18, was able to acquire the position with ASRC Energy Services Inc. without having his high school diploma. He also questioned any possible involvement by the governor.

Johnston's father, Keith Johnston, denied any involvement by Palin in his son acquiring the apprenticeship. He said that his own position as an ASRC construction engineer explains any assistance that his son may have received.

Johnston will reportedly use his newly freed up time to focus on his education.

Wow, I wish the media would just leave these kids alone. It appears to me that they are at least trying to make the best of the situation. They are both trying to raise a child, finish up school the best way they can and work. Geez, ease up on them already.

Who exactly is responsible for all this pressure? Who has a problem with a man trying to make a living? Oh but if it were the boy friend of Caroline Kennedys girl this guy would be on the cover of GQ with oil on his bare chest.

Great information! Good reading. I’ve got a opinion to offer about tee shirts.
