Michelle's Inauguration Day Outfit - Gorg!

First Lady Michelle Obama chose yet another Cuban American designer for her husband's swearing in ceremony.

She's been wearing Cuban American designer Narcisco Rodriguez for several Inaugural festivities, but this morning she stepped out in a shimmery yellow Isabel Toledo ensemble.
The brocade dress, 3/4 coat and matching sweater all in the same hue are tres chic, we must say! And the green gloves?? Fab! And don't worry about Mrs. Obama getting cold -- we hear the entire ensemble was lined in warm pashmina, so she could walk the parade route without a coat. Genius!
Check out what Michelle Obama is wearing at the inaugural parties!

She really does not know how to dress for a 1st lady.

U-G-L-Y she aint got no aliby it was ugly……
Michelle attire was definately appropriate for the occassion. She was classy yet conservative. The girls are always adoreable. President Obama has a beautiful family; they compliment eachother. It doesn’t matter what type of clothing or designer they choose; all that matters is HE is the PRESIDENT ELECT and this world is about to see CHANGE!
To our 44th President and his lovely wife and daughter’s you and your family were so beautiful to day,may God continue to bless you and you family, you will all ways be in my prayer’s Love Pastor Drenda and family Fort Wort TExas
The dress is ugly. She’s bow legged too. They don’t look happy together either. Her face is affected and she has terrible taste in clothes.
First Lady Michelle Obama, looked absolutely amazing, I loved the outfit, not only was it totally appropriate for the occasion, she wore it well. For those who think otherwise, Google passed inaugurations and see what other first ladies wore. Stop being so judgmental and just be happy.
and what WOULD you have had her wear? and for those of you who are calling her tacky, what are YOU currently wearing?
ok so I’m trying to be objective here but I just don’t like the dress… I’m not sure if it was the giant rhinestone ring around the collar which would’ve been more appropriate for a darker color gown at the Golden Globes (maybe), or two solid yellow flaps that hung down from the collar inside the jacket (they just seemed misplaced) or it could’ve been those black pumps…. a lighter color would’ve have looked better with that dress… maybe a silver or bone color … other than that I liked the light & shimmering yellow color and the cut of the dress oh and the jacket cut was nice too….
I think that Michelle’s dress was AWESOME!!! I don’t know why everyone is hating on her dress….It is 2009!! New year and New President….so if you don’t like build a bridge and get over it…yay for President Obama!!!
i agree her outfit is not right for this occastion - she would like nice or better in a very nice chic coloured suit maybe light blue or even peach colored suit! sorry it’s not very attractive!
Are you kidding me …She looked TERRIBLE Slimey green yellow box for a dress snotty colored gloves….Jackie Kenedy is rolling over and over and over in her grave…in fact she is probably trying to get out and tear it off her….
I agree with the poster that said that Mrs. Biden’s dress was too short showing leg above her boot (reminded me of the sixties). Michelle’s dress was cut nicely, but unless she’s going to make yellow a trademark color (like Barbara blue), it was a poor choice. I’d rather have seen the suit in Winter White; it would have suited her skin tone better, and made for much better photos. Both dresses should have reflected the frigid weather and been accompanied by a fabulous long, matching warm coat. I watched her today in the cold, and she looked frozen and miserable when they were outside. I hope neither of them gets sick from being out there with bare legs.
She looked fabulous today and I think that since she is sworn in as the first lady their is nothing you can say no matter what she wears. Some may say that she looked rediculous but it doesnt matter what anyone says she is the official 1st lady as of Jan. 20th 2009 and she can wear whatever she wants.
Not a stereotyped traditional - I think was great! Great! There’s so many selections of designs… each individual has its own… Definitely, not a stereotyped tradition for first lady, but it was refreshing to be out of the stereotype…
For those who criticize, perhaps need to look at mirror… we are all different… ;)
To the person that made the comment that OUR FIRST LADY’S dress was Ghetto Fabulous. You obviously know NOTHING about fashion. Mrs. Obamas dress was absolutely beautiful. It was the perfect color choice as well as stlye for her. Keep in mind that Mrs. Obama is a very professional woman that knows who she is and is EXTREMELY confortable with who she is. You’re talking about a woman with a law degree from Harvard University and she is very well put together. By the way, your approval of her is not needed. We Love You Michelle Obama.
I think that she looked nice, but that it was a bit metallic for my tastes. According to the article, it was made so that she could wear it in the winter. If it were a nice shade of blue, red, or another, less metallic color, I would go out and buy it myself.
