A woman broke through a window after discovering her son trapped inside a locked daycare center.

Yula Williams, 30, says she could hear nine-month-old baby Xavier "screaming and crying."

"It made me terrified to know that my son was inside the center, locked and in the dark," she said.

Williams a brick from a garden bed to smash a window so that she could reach her child.

That poor child! The center should be closed down. That Mom did the correct thing - I would have done it too!

In NO WAY do I excuse the day care for leaving a child unattended. However, I do have 2 questions. What are the operating hours of the daycare? When did mother arrive to pick up her child? Child Protective Services should look at this one.

It doesn’t matter what the operating hours of the daycare are. Life happens, that’s it… I mean really who hasn’t been late picking up their kids at least once or twice??? If the mom was late picking up her kid then the daycare should have started with trying to contact her. If they could not reach her then they should have started calling people on he emergency contact list. It appears as though the people running this daycare didn’t even know this child was still in the building when they left the building and locked up. That is negligence and they should be charged as such.

check to make sure that your daycare center doesn’t have any broken windows

Ok I agree with the above that said it does not matter the operating hours. Please…. You do NOT lock the door and leave a 9 month old or any child there. Maybe she was late. Even way late. You cannot leave the child there.Protective services should look into this. The day care should be closed and workers should be charged.
