The new family flick, "Hotel For Dogs," opens in theaters this weekend -- one pet food company is donating money from tickets sales to help animals in need.

Dreamworks' new comedy, "Hotel For Dogs," starring Lisa Kudrow, Emma Roberts, Jake T. Austin and a bunch of adorable canines, begins playing in theaters on Friday. It's about two siblings who transform an abandoned hotel into a resort for stray dogs.

In order to help real dogs who need homes, PEDIGREE® Brand is making a donation to the PEDIGREE® Foundation for each full-price "Hotel For Dogs" ticket purchased in the United States through July 16, 2009. The PEDIGREE® Foundation supports shelters and breed rescue organizations all over the country.

The Foundation will donate up to $250,000 from movie ticket sales.
