Obama: Snow Day?? What Snow Day??

The president pokes fun at Washington DC schools.
President Barack Obama, steeled by many snowy Chicago winters, expressed disbelief Wednesday when his daughters Malia and Sasha woke up to find that their classes had been canceled for the day.
Schools in Washington and the surrounding suburbs either opened late or scrapped all their classes because of icy conditions. Obama's daughters attend the private Sidwell Friends School. Check out the LOL video:

I live in West TN. People around here can’t handle rain, much less snow. They try to drive the same as they would if it were sunny and dry.
So far in 2009, the public schools were closed for a day because the wind chill was around 15 degrees & they didn’t want kids to get cold waiting for buses (my older kid’s private school was open because they don’t have bus service), public & private were closed Tuesday because of the threat of winter weather (it just rained), and yesterday because there was a bit of ice and snow on the roads.
Although we live within the “city limits”, the road I have to take to get my 5th grader to school is a winding 2 lane with very little “shoulder”, drop-offs and ditches on the sides. I wouldn’t want to travel that road if it had ice on it.
