Campus police at East Carolina University arrested one individual and pepper sprayed several more attempting to stop a massive snowball fight.
Police say that they were called three times to control more than 200 students who engaged in the incident after a rare storm left several inches of snow.
"It all started in good nature, but then people were throwing them as hard as they could at each other. They were everywhere," said junior Brandon Davis, who was hit in the head by a snowball.
Authorities report that pepper spray was used on students who rushed officers as they tried to make an arrest.
No serious injuries were reported.

This is just stupid. First of all, what kind of loosers cry and whine when they get hit with a snowball. Grow up. Secondly, isn’t the object of a snowball fight to throw the white stuff at the oponent, it was when I was a kid. We used to roll ice in those things and no one fussed. Thirdly, what nerotic individual called the cops? Moderating a college snowball fight is not their job, theirs is more important. I hate that we baby our kids these days and teach them to be such weak people. Maybe if Brandon got hit with a few more snowballs it would knock some sense into him, but I highly doubt it.
