The suspect in the murder of Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson's family has plead not guilty to charges of home invasion and first-degree murder.

William Balfour is the estranged husband of Hudson's sister, Julia Hudson. Balfour is accused of murdering the sisters' mother, Darnell Donerson, their brother, Jason Hudson, and Jennifer Hudson's 7-year-old nephew, Julian King.

Balfour is being held without bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 27.
