Tampon Crafts: Clever or Creepy?

Crafts for "anytime of the month" are just plain weird. Period.

Ever sit around your house and thought to yourself, "I'd like to use feminine hygiene products for arts and crafts projects!"? Neither have we. Ever. But, no joke, the DIY website Tampon Crafts is dedicated solely to "art" projects featuring the good old reliable and um, absorbent, tampon. The site has detailed step-by-step directions on how to turn a bunch of (unused!) tampons into jewelry, floral arrangements and even a pan flute. That's right: a musical instruments fashioned out of tampons.

To see the thing in action, check out this vid of one of the most  joyless versions of "Ode to Joy" we've ever heard apparently performed by Aunt Flo herself.

Thank you so much for the laugh. I’ve seen some pretty bizarre crafts, but that one takes the prize.

I wonder what they would do with maxi pads.

Not creepy at all. Grow up, its a tool designed to make a normal bodily function more manageable.

But Angela—would you put your mouth on it? I don’t care if it hasn’t been used, there’s just something wrong with that. Weird.
