Top Dog and Cat Names of 2008

Pet health insurance provider Veterinary Pet Insurance scoured its database of over 450,000 insured animals to find the most popular dog and cat names of 2008.
AOL News reports the insurance company discovered more owners are now giving their pets "people" names versus traditional animal i.d.s such as "Spot" or "Fido." Some of the most popular pet names even overlap the Social Security Administration's list of most popular baby names.

I’ve had cats named Phillip, Lily, Cleo, and Zoey. They’ve passed on.
I now have Butter (he’s the color peanut butter), Biscuit (he constantly does the paw kneading that the kids call “making biscuits”), and Tinkerbell.
I want to name my next dog Robert.
