Had one too many slices of pie and already thinking of your swimsuit body for the summer? No worries -- a few quick changes can take you from flab to fit.
Getting fit is one of the all-time favorite New Year's resolutions -- and often the easiest to break. If getting healthy is one of your goals, check out a few expert tips to put you on the right road, courtesy of CNN:
1. Be specific: Don't just say, "I want to look hot" -- specify your goal. Do you want to drop 10 lbs? Look good in a swimsuit? Be able to run after your kids? The sky is the limit.
2. Extreme Makeover: Kitchen Edition: It's time to overhaul your kitchen so that it sets you up for success. Dump the Oreos and opt for fruits and veggies instead. When you go to the grocery store, load up on healthy snacks like yogurt and nuts. That way, when the work doughnuts are calling your name, you'll be in a better position to say no.
3. Make it a habit: If you schedule your workouts at the same time every day, you'll set yourself up for success. Overwhelmed by the thought of a long workout? Go for 10-minute workouts every day. Hey, it's a start.
4. Multi-task your workouts: At the grocery store? Do some bicep curls with the basket. Log in a few push ups against the wall at your office. Lift those heels and do several calf raises while cooking. A little goes a long way.
