The widow of a 79-year-old man cashed in his winning lottery ticket, only to discover it was worth $10 million!
Donald Peters bought two Connecticut Lottery tickets on Nov. 1 from a local 7-Eleven. He later suffered a fatal heart attack at his home.
Charlotte Peters cashed in one of the nearly discarded tickets last week for a grand total of $10 million.
"He'd be very mad, he just passed away and she won a lot of money," said Brian Peters, one of the couple's three children. "He'd say, 'Figures!'"
The widow, her three children and two grandchildren haven't yet decided how to use the winnings.
