Amazon Pulls Video Game Glorifying Child Rape

The outrageous video game glorifies sexual assault.

rapeplay video game

A virtual rape game called "Rapeplay" was sold by Amazon until they received complaints from users.

Players begin the game by stalking a mother on a subway station ... then violently raping her. They then move on to attack her two daughters, who are described as virgin schoolgirls. Players are also allowed to enter "free form mode," where they can rape any woman and get other male game characters to join the attacks. Just sick!

Reviews of the game describe graphically detail scenes of attacks in the game with "tears glistening in the young girl's eyes."

According to a post in a gaming forum, the game also includes abortions. Every time a rape is committed, there is a chance the victim could become pregnant.

"If she does become pregnant, you're supposed to force her to get an abortion, otherwise she gets more and more visibly pregnant each time you have sex. If you allow the child to be born, then the woman will throw you in front of a train," the post explains.

This makes our blood boil!

British officials were equally outraged. "It is intolerable that anyone would purchase a game that simulates the criminal offense of rape," said Keith Vaz, a member of Parliament. "To know that this was widely available through a major online retailer is utterly shocking. I do not see how this can be allowed. I will be raising this matter in Parliament and hope that action is taken to prevent the game from being sold."

A spokesman for Illusion, the makers of the video game, said: "We believe there is no problem with the software, which has cleared the domestic ratings of an ethics watchdog body."

How is a game like "Rapeplay" even legal?

What kind of sick mind came up with the idea that this would be a good game?? That is just disturbing.

I will never ever buy a game, even an innocent one from the game maker Illusion. The fact that they see nothing wrong with this game is alarming and disturbing and speaks volumes.

What the HELL is wrong with society, why would this EVER make it to production and being sold. We need to be socially responsible and this is NOT. I am all for our rights as people but anyone who feels it’s their right to play something like this sick.

Who on earth thought a game like this was a good idea? Rape, even fictional rape, is sick and wrong. I think the game’s creators need professional help.

IT MUST BE ALLOWED FOR OVER EIGHTEEN AND BE RESTRICTED FOR MINORS AS IT DOES NOT HARM MARRIED AND EXPERIENCED

Who in the world would have wanted to buy this game? Only someone truly sick and twisted. I wonder where it was sold.

Lots of women have rape fantasies, and enjoy the illusion of feeling powerless, but its not real loss of control if there is a safe word which is why its ok to explore that side of your imagination. Some people can’t separate fantasy from reality, and some can. Guess which ones should never be allowed to play games like this? Or role play, or watch movies, or read graphic novels… Where does the loss of our rights and freedoms to pursue our interests in private end? Just because I like something that a prude finds socially unacceptable, doesn’t make it wrong. Rape is part of the world. Real rape is terrible, but nothing you do or say will make it cease to exist. It’s just a game. Christ. If anything be glad the men are satisfied with the game and not out doing it!
