Singer Carnie Wilson has just signed onto 40 episodes of the new Game Show Network edition of "The Newlywed Game."

The game show features newly married couples who answer a series a questions to see how well they know each other.

"My personality and energy is perfect for something like this," Wilson said.

The original show debuted in 1966 and was on air over 20 years.

The series remake premieres April 6 and will feature a bonus round that brings back couples who have remained married since appearing on the original show.
