Gloria Allred Wants to Rescue the Octuplets!

Outspoken attorney Gloria Allred has announced HER plan to "provide for the medical and emotional needs" of Nadya Suleman's 14 children.

nadya suleman and gloria allred

Allred and the charity Angels in Waiting, founded by a local LA nurse at Kaiser, say they want to provide 24/7 medical care, physical therapy, occupational therapy and a home for the octomom and her brood of 14. They say their plan will provide for the medical needs of the newborns without "one dime from the taxpayers."

At a press conference today, the charity's founder Linda Conforti said "This is something where she can still be a mom. We're not trying to rip these children away. We're trying to give her a support system."

Allred says volunteer nurses and medical personnel would care for the babies morning, noon and night in eight-hour shifts. Conforti said it would take 14 trained professionals to provide the proper care for the tiny babies, while also helping out mom Nadya with her other six children, including those with special needs.

The offer from Angels in Waiting would keep the family together without use of taxpayer funds, Allred said. It would require, however, donations from the public.

Do you think this is a good idea?

I don’t think this is right. Many other babies need help too. Why is she not helping them? Why just octuplets? Why are they special only because there are so many of them? I don’t get it.

Man, what took Allred so long to get her mug involved?! It usually only takes a day for her to call a stinkin’ press conference to stick her publicity-seeking nose into something. Jeez, Sharpton would have been in front of the house in 36 hours! Gloria, you’re slipping!

the babies need to be put up for adoption. there are wonderful families who would love to adopt one of these babies. As for the others, they should also be adopted. This woman is a disillusioned human, who has a mental condition.

These babies need to be put in home with parents who can offer them a future with a chance. The grandparents are already supporting the mom and the other 6 kids, they cannot afford 8 more and the mom clearly cannot take care of herself much less 14 kids

Those babies should not be taken away from their mother. Clearly Nadya is going to need some help, heck all families need help from time to time. That help may come from family, friends, church or the community, it may be temporary or permanent, but, we all need help sometimes. I’m glad Gloria is trying to help this family because she can probably do more good than an advertisement agency. I hope she can really do it and I wish her and the Suleman family lots of luck!!

The whole “idea” was for Nadya to get money..she has taken this thing way overboard and yes, she is looking for help with our taxpayers dollars. Just imagine how much it will cost “us” if we have to take care of these babies. And two where did she think the money would come from…..falling from the sky?
This woman needs psychiatric help, serioudly.

I agree that Nadya needs psychiatric help, I’m hoping that will be one of the things Gloria can help Nadya receive. But I still don’t think that the kids should be taken away.

Allred is an incessant, nonstop fame seeker. She’ll jump onto any bandwagon and do anything for attention, including use these kids. She’s as nauseating as Suleman, if not more so.

Everybody needs to get over it. Her children, her problem. We use our tax dollars to help drugy’s, lazy people who just don’t want to work, and most of all “All the people that commit fraud to get our dollars”….REMEMBER THESE ARE 8 INOCENT CHILREN. People have had lots of kids and have managed to survive. I’m sure they will too….My parents come from a familiy of 15. Born in the great depression and I made….Everybody should just go back to what they do best and leave them alone now…..Only idiots would make death threats..I hope carma catches up to them…..

It is really sad that something that should be a blessing like having a baby, has been turned into such a circus. The mother of these babies obviously has issues and this was surely not a very well thought out plan. I feel that while everyone is focusing on the mother who we all agree made a bad decision, we are forgetting about the doctor that decided to go through with this event. shouldn’t we be focusing a little more on the man who took a vow to do no harm and then went on to help a women with no job and six kids, get pregnant with eight more babies who are at a high risk of having long lasting health issues. Not to mention the tax payers, many of wich struggle to support 1 or 2 of their own children who will now have to help a women who cared so little about anyone else (including the 6 kids she already had) that she brought on 8 more children for the rest of the country to support. God bless all that are involved, and i hope that everything works out in the best intrest of these children.

i am very sorry for those little ones, all this negativity is going to add stress to the mother who is the provider and person who is going to be caring for them..so we dont agree with her choices but they are her choices and we should remember that..no one is perfect but maybe we could change our way of thinking and remember that children are precious no matter how they came into this world and if her children need help who are we to say no we should be saying yes…they didnt choose this but i think this county is a loving country for the most part and how can anyone turn their backs on four little ones who will need so much love to know that they are special each and everyone of them…lets put our opinions aside and remember the babies that are now here in these harsh times and remember that its them who we need to care about

lorri February 19, 2009, 5:57 PM

Who are we to judge anyone else? While we sit here on our computors and have nothing better to do than read comments from other people about some elses misfortion. As human beings in the blight of a tragic situation, we should all donate at lease a dollor to the parents of Nadya to help catch up thier house payments that are 16 months behind and about to loose. At least we can help her help herself. What if it was you? The babies need a roof over thier head. I know I’m donating.

Mike February 19, 2009, 6:07 PM

Lorri, Dawn I’m with you…..Can’t believe people out there…Let’s not forget the 1 billion a month we are paying for the stinky bankers…..

destiny 46 February 19, 2009, 6:20 PM

I think people on here should shut thier pie holes up and leave this mother alone. You are not God to be siting judgement on others. Think about it what if it was anyone of you that this happened to. you would want and need help so if you cant say something good about someone then do not say nothing.leave this woman alone the babys are hers that was the way God wanted it to be if not then I am sure he would have steped in and did something about it all.

Nadya Suleman is DELUSIONAL!!!

She is a THIEF!!! These children should absolutely be taken from her!

Janet February 19, 2009, 6:38 PM

I’ve read all the comments so far and everyone just needs to watch the news tonight. Gloria is not trying to help this mom, she is trying to help the group, angelsinwaiting.org that wants to place these tiny babies in one home with 24/7 professional care. And they are going to need 24/7 care. While their mom is out running around getting her nails done while others are taking care of her 6 kids at home and nurses/doc are attenting the other 8. Just in case you don’t know she has been paid over $100k so far for pictures and such. But that is just a drop in the bucket for what these little ones need. Again I urge you to go to the group’s web site and see what they are about. They help many, many tiny babies get the start they need.
