Police arrested a man after he stashed painkillers in his five-year-old niece's pants.

Dickie Lynn Keirsey, 28, is being investigated for allegedly hiding 23 OxyContin pills in his young niece's pants pocket. The girl later found the stash and handed them to her teacher at school.

Authorities say that Keirsey wrote a statement saying that he hid the pills while the clothes were hung on a rack last week.

He has been charged with possession of narcotics and reckless endangerment.
