A new diet says you can shed pounds while you snooze.

Recently a doctor told Glamour magazine that women could lose weight in their sleep, without even changing their diet.
Sure, research has linked weight loss to sleep before, but shedding pounds requires proper nutrition and hours at the gym ... right?
Well, according to the diet plan -- that's being promoted by J.Lo, a new mom herself -- you don't need to change your eating habits at all.
The Sleep Diet merely requires:
- You nab seven and a half hours of sleep per night.
- No caffeine after 2:30 p.m. or alcohol within three hours of bedtime.
- Hit the hay at the same time every night and wake up at the same time every morning.
Previous research has shown skimping on sleep leads to weight gain because fatigue stimulates the hormone that regulates hunger and triggers appetite.
Sounds easy, right? Maybe not for moms, who on average get five hours of shut-eye per night, according to a poll taken by Mother and Baby magazine. And according to the National Sleep Foundation, some women require as many as nine hours of sleep a night.
Do you think this diet is realistic? Would you try it?
